I love what your teaching in all your videos! As well as all the projects and ideas!I just wish you could edit out some of the not necessary stuff. Time crunching I'm sure is an issue for all.
Your "before" boards painted naturally by hand look so much better than when you used the wood-graining tool here, in my opinion. Is there one particular video you can recommend where I can learn this technique to hand paint the natural wood look? Also, I vaguely remember seeing a gorgeous complete shiplap wall you had created on facebook but can't seem to find that video here as well. Thank you!
Here is the link for the dark wood tone tutorial ua-cam.com/video/f4Mir-vBTBI/v-deo.html I didn't do a whole shiplap wall but did do the project tutorial for shiplap ua-cam.com/video/6u6Bj0s_RUs/v-deo.html
Too much moisture will cause it to curl, the wax helps to seal the paper surface and help float the paint across, use the least amount of paint as you can and this will help with the curling.
I am going to frame in a ventless fireplace and want to do a faux shiplap from the mantle up so it won't be exposed to heat. Do you think this could work or should i just stick to stripping down plywood?
Out the many Faux Wood making videos in UA-cam this one is one of the best. Good editing, good lighting, good sound, good camera positions.
Thank you
I liked at the end with the tool
I must have missed how you painted the foam board first? Will have to search for that! This is amazing! Subscribed! Thank you!

How do I keep my foam straight after I paint it it keeps curling

It should be OK as long as its far enough from the heat.
Do not like the wood grain tool. What u do hand fashioned is far superior. The wood grain tool makes the boards look fake.
Yes I agree, but I was asked to show how it was used and how it looked.
I'm happy u showed the tool, it's nice u listen to ur subscribers.
@@marychampion8716 I like it and think the result looks very natural and pretty
