I got to know Shane over the last year here in tauranga talked almost daily the bloke was a classy fella, he had his issues, with life, the government and the situation. But he was an absolute gentleman, some of the chats him and I had were very insightful, he loved his son's and told me he loved his ex wife even though they he caused her many headaches. He would always ask me if I was okay and let me know what he's up to, he was Abit over nz and the mount he enjoyed being up north but it was too isolated up there , he was excited to see his son's come over. He had great character and always took the time to day hello and have a quick catch up and was always asking how people especially maori fellas were going mentally, a bloke he never met was down from north land didn't know anyone and he came and told me to say hello to the bloke because he didn't know anyone, that's the kinda bloke Shane was always making sure people were okay even if it seemed at times that others never took the time to make sure he was okay. I'll miss you brother I know everyone called you kiwi but to me you were always just "brother" it was a pleasure knowing you, I'll miss you shane I'm grateful I got to know you for little time, the gym won't be the same without ya bro ❤️❤️❤️❤️

He was such a kind and caring brother and we had so much in common both being indigenous and part white, Im First Nations (Akwesasne Mohawk) and he was mixed Maori. He always checked up on me after I moved on from the Rebels because of crooked internal politics on this side of the world. I still have some of the gifts he sent me on display in my house. When I met Shane for the first time I didn’t think he was nice and he was scary but as I got to know him more I got used to him he seemed like a nice bloke I loved him so much and he didn’t deserve what he got when the got kicked out of Australia 🇦🇺 he was a good bloke and I also met dustin Martin they looked nice and I also had an 1 long chat with them and I hoped I seen him again but I found out he died and when I found that out I sat in my room crying for atleast 4 hours then a week later I went to Dustin’s house to talk to him and also asked him about the afl and what it’s like we spoke for over 2 hours he is a gentleman he always took the time to talk to me when I seen him at the shops getting food and stuff like that he’s really nice and every time I seen him I always asked him to sign my new Richmond jerseys and footys and he always did I love him and now because of that I never kick those footys cause I don’t want to ruin his signature on the footy so I have about 10 Richmond footy and 16 Richmond jerseys I love them both so much ❤❤

Unfortunately, the rules on 501 are quite clear in regards to how they come to a decision. I know several UK residents who were also deported. RIP and God Bless. Wasn't aware of his passing until today. I'm in the UK now.
