My wife died 9 weeks ago. I can imagine my wife saying these exact words to me before we were married. These lyrics remind me of things she had said in the past. I’ve listened to this song so many times the last several days. It makes me feel a bit closer to my wife, but also sad. It’s a really good song.
"God I miss the 90s" Mood af. While popular music today is catchy I feel like something is missing from it to elevate it to the level of artistry. Wonder where it went. Least whatever it is seems to live on in Indie music now-a-days.
I miss the 90's too, I think back to it nearly everyday. The friends, the adventures, the lawlessness, and of course the music. Pearl Jam hit me pretty hard when they came out. When Eddie Vedder started singing you could tell it was coming straight from the soul. The way he would close his eyes and look up and sideways and shake his head as he sang always grabbed me right in the heart. He is the soul of grunge, still to this day.
I posted on here about my wife dying on this video like over a year ago. What this song means to me. I am great full for all the condolences. Thank you. Though sometimes are still difficult. Even when our spouse dies, those of us that keep living do eventually find ways to still enjoy life. Getting through the grief is a process and takes time.
The changing expressions throughout the song are what makes this video so great. I personally love the shy grins after the friends with benefits verse. It's so cute.
thats is true. in 1995 and 1996. she was on Vh1 and MTV all the time. for me it was a special time because I was not a big fan of grunge music that was everywhere it was only ok for me. but it was great to see Alanis come along in 1995 to lead a post grunge era.
A little historical context for those not old enough to know…. At the time that this video was released, music videos were still culturally relevant (MTV was still actually playing them on something called television), and Alanis Morrissette was the "It Girl" of the moment. This album was at the time the highest-selling debut by a female artist, ever. It has sold over 30 million copies to date, with Billboard magazine declaring it the best-selling pop record of the 1990s. Due to all of these factors, at the time this video was hardly seen as "cheap." Her face alone was more valuable than the most extravagant high-tech special-effects could ever be. At a point when music videos were so relevant that millions of dollars were spent in producing them (and MTV was still playing them), it was a downright radical act for her to release a video consisting of nothing but a close-up of her face. It only made her seem that much more cool. Young people of today: I love you; you're awesome; enjoy your youth, for us old people; but also try to learn a little history along the way, okay? (Oh, one more thing…. Two thirds of the way through this song, she refers to her best friend, "best friends with benefits." That is the origin of the term people still use today: "Friends with benefits.")
I was just a kid at the time, so my own experience with the music video is empty. I abolsutely adore it as an adult now, & even more with this context, so thanks :) A similarly directed video with a separate context is Janelle Monae's "Cold War". A little more dramatic, a little more veiled, but her face & emotions as one of many faces of black America.
Andrew Parodi i dated a wonderful half hippy girl that looked very much like her, dressed very much like her and man i miss when girls were like this :(
Megan Brayton wow are you offended because i said H i p p y? the only thing that means in Canada is a flower child it hasn't got a racial assignment check your google translate before you go off (she was half hippy she had long straight hair wore ankle length skirts and often wore rock t-shirts) she was beautiful inside tho i remember her light the most.
When she says "I've never felt this healthy before" it has always always resonated with me, even before I knew what she meant. Getting older, it is just so clear, when you find that other half of you, someone you genuinely fall head over feet for, you genuinely feel healthier and capable. It's a beautiful lyric and another power house of a song by this legend 👏
I'm 35 almost 36. And a girl I've known for 20 years just came back into my life in a big way. Weve both fallen head over feet and it's true! I feel like I'm made of steel, I could run through walls for her.
EVERY SINGLE SONG on this album was great and a huge hit. Unless you lived this era you have no idea how big this album was. Madonna must’ve made millions off this.
I was a kid when this album came out and heard it as a kid from my mom. I will admit this is one album that I can listen from beginning to end and love every minute of it!
I didn't know she was discovered by Madonna. At least Madonna had good taste and enough experience in the music business to get Alanis the audience she deserved.
Alanis already had television experience on a kids show she must have been like 11 or so. Canada already knew her as she had some dance songs with her big hair days. Then she got serious with music and somehow stumbled down the staircase and managed to land on her feet with Jagged Little Pill and the rest is history.
My wife and I got married yesterday, 4.3.21 and this was our first dance. The very first time she told me she loved me, this was playing in the background when we were hanging out one afternoon.
Because it makes you think of your childhood when life was pure, and every experience was something new. A time when you had no care's like bills, car payments, or whatever. A time when you was truly free, instead of being a slave working a job you hate to buy shit you don't need. A slave to money and faceless corporations that shovel bullshit down our throats.
Me and my girlfriend would play this entire album when we started to fall in love with eachother that was 1995! Time flies 3 kids later and many memories I love her more than ever before and so happy to call her my wife and best friend ❤ you always Missy! Such a time capsule thank you Alanis
Listening to Alanis gives me a kind of nostalgia that I don't really get from alot of artists. Her voice just reminds me of a better time, a more innocent time, a time that we just don't get much anymore, if at all. It's bittersweet. Alanis is very ethereal that way.
My mom used to blast this song in the car when I was a baby all the time, I had the tune stuck in my head for at least 8 years, and I’ve finally found the song, and god it’s bringing back memories
For me it was elementary, this song, inside out by eve 6 and get what you give by new radicals are a few others that always played on TV in the morning before school
How many straight dudes out there really feel this music ? I know this album is about a young woman's struggle growing up and it's hard to relate that to a man's experience but there's something about this whole album that hits me deep. She wrote from the heart and really just let it all out. She didn't care what anyone thought. She had a lot of real emotions to write with and what came out is a true masterpiece that is Jagged Little Pill. Every now and then, when I feel like I need to get my head straightened out, I just listen to this album and I always feel better afterwards. I'll have a crush on Alanis Morissette forever !
We were rocker/metal heads when this came out, and we'd be cruising somewhere and if this came on we'd bashfully look ahead and pretend like we didn't like this. But we did.hahaha.. No shame, brother. It's a good song.
Hahaha ! I remember acting like I didn't like it with my friends too. I grew up on this music but I normally only listen to EDM and Metal. Someone's sure gotta write something amazing to make people jump genres like that.
Aefwa Efwe This album and Alanis doesn't need any explanation whatsoever. She's a genius and well ahead of her time. One of the best album ever. Jagged little Pill
Music will always be the closest thing we’ll ever have to a Time Machine. The feelings we get by listening to old music helps us travel back in time as we recall and relive those times. Y’all be blessed out there.
I'm a metalhead. I live for bands like Opeth, Cannibal Corpse, Tool, and I'm also heavily into EDM, specifically liquid drumstep, psytrance, heavy electro, etc. I can happily say Jagged Little Pill is the best album I've ever listened to.
She's not "naturally" pretty enough, IMHO, to pull that off without it being annoying. A little makeup (or, a little MORE makeup, if she's wearing any) might've helped. "vulnerable"? Meh...
2021 and this is still one of the most intelligent videos ever made. They kept the imagery purposefully simple to make you concentrate on the lyrics knowing they are powerful enough to carry the entire video. They played to the strengths of the song. And it worked. I never felt this healthy before.. who writes poetry like this.
The fact that I'm here watching this video proves your point all the more. It's simple, unique and memorable. Whenever I think about this song, I think about this music video.
No it's not. It's just her standing in front of camera nothing intelligent about it. No effort and no ideas disguised as art convention. About as intelligent as smearing feces on the wall
Come on dude! Just to make clear, I love Alanis Morissette and her songs. However, pretending that this video is something awesome, extraordinary or even intelligent is simply ridiculous! There is no complexity or even something above average on having someone standing in front of a camera while she sings.
What a beautiful song that was so overplayed at the time… now after NOT hearing it for 20+ years it make my feel blessed to have it in my collection. WE are united and one. No matter your political views or race. We love You Alanis❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ and we love you more each Day❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤
Haha. Back then you could get away with shots like these. Nowadays it's a different story, with 4kHD 72'' screens in every household those blurry pores you talk about become craters. You'd have to slap some filters on it to make it look like this, because the cameras used to shot videos have very different capabilities these days.
1996, my bride chose this perfect song to be played at our wedding. I love this tune. We'll celebrate our 25th anniversary in November of this year, 2021. This song WILL be part of our celebration, and she might not even remember. But she will. Life isn't always easy, yet it's an INCREDIBLY FUN ride!!!
Took me 11 years to find this song. Heard it on the radio during Halloween of 2013, never knew the name of the song. Been trying to find it ever since. FINALLY 🎉
I was 9 but same thing, grew up hearing it, not my fav artist or genre of music but always loved her music. She was one of a kind in a era she owned. Can't deny her pop culture status or her genuine musical talents...
Jann Arden, Arcade Fire, The Band, Leonard Cohen, Ian and Sylvia, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni, Neil, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, BTO, Bryan Adams, Terri Clarke, Anne Murray, The Dead South , Buffy Saint Marie and so many others. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💛🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦.
The 90s were the best. 89 baby here. And I truely was blessed to experience all the good music like her and so many others. Thanks to my mother. These years were so simple and care free. Still gives me that feeling.
I’m the last of the 70s babies (79) and I grew up on the east side of Detroit (the exact time period portrayed in “8 Mile”) so I think I was the perfect age to really experience the music, culture, and really that whole world that used to exist all throughout the 90s…It was just indescribable unless you were there! To this day I still become infuriated when I’m reminded of how me and my friends were planning to go to Woodstock 94 and things happened, and we didn’t go 😡
1976 here. Best music was the 90s. I'm so lucky to have experienced it. The likes of RATM, Pearl jam, Pantera, Nirvana, Alanis, Sound Garden, GNR ah the list could go on and on.
I got to see her in concert this summer just shortly before my 21st birthday, when she played Head over feet i felt completely numb with joy and sang along. This has to be my favorite song of hers and one of my favorite songs to play on guitar. She is still incredibly beautiful and overflowing with charm.
Purely just Singing in front of an imaginary mirror about her current state of mind with her emotions. Probably cost $10 to make yet 💯 is perfect for it. If this song was made by anyone else today, it would be random sexualisation that has nothing to do with the lyrics & emotion.
Heard this on our local station today. Had to listen again. I miss my Terry so much, he was my world. I still have so much love for him and its been six years since he passed.
Jason Camp lol I was 2 when this album came out but I remember my parents listening to it..to this day it's still up there for my favourite albums ever. sorry for long comment but very cool to hear 20 years later it's the same person for you !
Rob Affleck That is a pretty cool perspective from your point. To me 20 years ago seems like yesterday in some ways and long ago in others. But yes when this song came out I loved it still do. Great album.
Lyrics: I had no choice but to hear you You stated your case time and again I thought about it You treat me like I'm a princess I'm not used to liking that You ask how my day was You've already won me over in spite of me Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are I couldn't help it It's all your fault Your love is thick and it swallowed me whole You're so much braver than I gave you credit for That's not lip service You've already won me over in spite of me And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet And don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are I couldn't help it It's all your fault You are the bearer of unconditional things You held your breath and the door for me Thanks for your patience You're the best listener that I've ever met You're my best friend Best friend with benefits What took me so long? Man, I miss singer songwriters like her topping the charts. What a great album and singer. Glad I was in my early 20's when this came out! It was one of those "anthem" albums for me that year!
Can we just appreciate the fact that with nothing more than her incredible voice, some background music, and her captivating eyes, Alanis Morissette managed to make a more entertaining music video than most artists who spend way too much on their fancy production quality and cinematic storytelling~ ❤️🔥
Alanis Morissette is a gift from God. A true reminder of what music is all about. SPEAKING SOLELY FROM THE HEART, MIND AND SOUL. Also, Alanis didn't rely on anything but her beautiful face in this video. Creating vulnerability and innocence staring right at the viewer bearing her soul with facial expressions and sometimes looking anywhere but the camera to create that nervous feeling when you encounter your crush/lover. Also little things like fixing her hair to show self consciousness. True genius.
She has a rebellious in ur face raw talent and is able to show pure sincere love and selfish insane love at the same time. I was born 88 and listened to her growing up. These song dont just give me nostalgia, and bring me back in space and time. Their ingrained in my life to the core. I dont know her, but i love her.
This song and all her songs will always remind me of someone special in my life. I you read this one day and think of me. I'm sorry we didn't flourish into something beautiful. I hope you are well, your the most beautiful person I have ever met, in ever single way. Xxx
I remember hearing this at a school dance in the 7th grade. I can remember details of that night, and dancing with a crush to this song. Always takes me back to my innocent youth, and now I enjoy it today because it’s so true of the man I married. I will forever love this song.
This video is pure courage and integrity. By filming close-up like this, she leaves herself nowhere to hide - she means every word, and she's not afraid to own them.
"Head over Feet" has a harmonic structure that is unusual for its genre. The choruses are in a different key than the verses. Each verse is in the key of C major, whereas each chorus is in the key of D major. As a result, at the end of each chorus the song is forced to modulate down a major second (which is uncommon in rock music). - Alanis Morrisette Wiki
Can't even begin to count the number of times I played this CD in my car! Knew every word, sang along every time. I miss the 90s and all the great music that was born during that decade!
This is one of the songs I played and sang to my boyfriend (now husband) when we first met. I ADORE YOU ALANIS MORISSETTE!! I am black and grew up in the projects in Brooklyn. My sister was smart enough to get into a "smart" high school and was exposed to different cultures and people. She put me onto you and I will forever love her for that. You're AWESOME ❤
Right around the time this song came out, I was in college...and in love with a classmate. The lyrics perfectly described our situation - I've given her hints of my feelings, I treated her like a princess, always held the door for her, etc. I even got a poster of her favorite artist - you've guessed it- Alanis! I remember being so happy everytime we were together, and felt that she was falling for me as well. So when the chorus goes "...You've already won me over in spite of me, And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet..." I knew the song was for us. As it turns out, the feelings were not mutual - when we finally got down to serious talking, she said she just always thought of me as her (male) best friend (without the benefits part = ). She said that by confessing my feelings, it got her confused and didn't know what to do. I guess I misinterpreted our closeness for something beyond just friendship. I was crushed. But beyond my feelings, what pained me more was knowing that our friendship was never going to be the same ever. That night was the first time I truly cried over a girl. Things were a little weird for us a few days after that. But days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months. After some time has passed by, we became comfortable with each other again. We started talking regularly and I felt that our friendship has been rekindled. We've both matured and have moved on. We are now both happily married and have our own families. Although we haven't really kept in touch with each other, the last time we talked was a very good and happy conversation. Certain songs can remind you of a different time in your life. Head Over Feet does that to me everytime I hear it. It takes me back to the wonderful memory of that certain girl, a memory that I will cherish forever.
M B --Just wow, thank you for sharing this. The way you painted your experience really transported me to a certain time in my life that was that way. Holding a precious time.
@@marivg8948 Hi, thanks for your reply. At first glance that seems to be the case, but I assure it is not. It's really not about that person anymore, but it's those fleeting moments in your past that will always be with you.
MTV was overrun with big-budget, high-concept music videos when this came out and it was such a breath of fresh air so see an artist not afraid to be so exposed and vulnerable. Easily one of the most impactful, yet understated music videos of all time.
The unconventional style of this video is a tribute to her in general as its stripped back, and it suits the song. Shes talking to the one whom the song is referring to about her love for them, while in unseen company. She stops talking in-song and lets the lyrics carry on when shes listening to or thinking about the other person, or her feelings. I was 13 when MTV aired it, and thats just my interpretation of the vid. I loved her then, and now. Shes raw, frank and refreshing even 20 years on, but she was THE freshest talent newly out at the time this was released. The understated genius that is Alanis is real as my 10 yr niece adores her now 2 years after I introduced her to this album & the videos, simply for the uniqueness she exudes, as she herself says there isn't any modern equivalent to her now.
She stops singing when she gets to the refrain and mouths the words lightly as the refrain ends. I interpret it this way: She's not actually saying these things to her love. She can't bring herself to, because it comes on so strong. She's only thinking this in her head. That look at the end is wistful, before switching to a smile.
I went through quite a lot of comments here and they are mostly about the love of two people. I listened to this song many, many times with the same idea in my head. I'm in a good place with myself right now and it's news to me. Today for me this song is about self love. I'm so much braver than I gave myself credit for.
You're typing this on a device that can share data across the world and access a database of music literally unheard of until the past few years. What the fuck are you talking about.
Alex Gibson absolutely love both Metallica and guns and roses ( also mj as it happens ) grew up listening to all that myself . Still don't think it was as good as 60s 70s and 90s as a whole music wise . Not really sure why it went that way but imo it did
I got to see Alanis in concert last Friday and I was absolutely blown away!! Her voice was as good, if not better than it has ever been and her energy onstage was such a beautiful thing! I could really tell that she still enjoys what she does. It was definitely one of the best concerts that I've ever been to and the crowd interaction was phenomenal! Thank you for the memories, Alanis!!
Such a simple music video by an amazing beautiful women, inside and out she needs no make up or a front and her music never gets old. Honestly, its timeless! Also am I the only one who feels this video accurately represents their ADHD her distractedness and Disassociation in this video is so me!!
Yes!!! I was about to leave the same comment. She also coined the term “friends with benefits “, right? That’s damn sure the first time I heard it used that way so casually. Didn’t know what it meant in the 90s, but I feel the OCD, ADD, Control issues too. First time really paying attention! I’m glad you caught that too. Xx Steven ❤❤❤

It’s crazy to think she went to numerous record labels for a deal and was turned down, but none other than MADONNA gave her a chance and fell in love with her voice at first listen!
A man walked into my house to fix my oven two weeks and one day ago and it was palpably magnetic between us. Now it feels like this song was written about him. I've never had this feeling before about anyone but it's amazing and all I can think about is this song. So hell yeah I'm listening in 2024.
I remember when this album was at its apex, and when these videos came out. MTV used to show them all the time and I LOVED most of the songs. I had forgotten how truly beautiful Alanis Morissette is and how much her message resonated with people. I totally had a mega crush on her then... and now. You're awesome Alanis!!

It's been said before and I'll say it again. The '90s wasn't a decade. It was an emotion
A decade is time period lasting 10 years. 1990-1999 is ten years. So, the 1990’s were a decade.
I've never heard this, but yes.
A revolution
I believe the 90s was the last Decade where love by Teenagers were Heart felt! I graduated in 95 , it is so different now!
Man...
To be a teen in the 90s Alanis was loved truly. So refreshing to see a simple beautiful face
So pretty. So talented.
Was loved? Still loved to this day.
The changing expressions throughout the song are what makes this video so great. I personally love the shy grins after the friends with benefits verse. It's so cute.
Well, nothing too special but kissable all the same .
...because music had never been marketed on a pretty face before?
She was 21 years old here with one of the best selling pop albums of all time.
Legend.
She is beautiful...
Was she really only 21 at the time?? 😮
@alana1119 she really was, crazy right? Special talent.
Shows me again how wise some young folks are ;) I had some friends like that who I met at 16 18 years old, super wise.
Hold up. She was only 21? I had no clue she was-OK that makes sense.
When Alanis sings, we listen. When she’s on a screen, we watch. Plain and simple.
thats is true. in 1995 and 1996. she was on Vh1 and MTV all the time. for me it was a special time because I was not a big fan of grunge music that was everywhere it was only ok for me. but it was great to see Alanis come along in 1995 to lead a post grunge era.
Yes
And when she is in concert, they sadly watch through a phone. How the world has changed.
I usually turn it off right away
What a dumb ass comment.
Who's ending this year with this glorious song?? 😍🤩
Hi, bro

When she says "I've never felt this healthy before" it has always always resonated with me, even before I knew what she meant. Getting older, it is just so clear, when you find that other half of you, someone you genuinely fall head over feet for, you genuinely feel healthier and capable. It's a beautiful lyric and another power house of a song by this legend 👏

I'm 35 almost 36. And a girl I've known for 20 years just came back into my life in a big way. Weve both fallen head over feet and it's true! I feel like I'm made of steel, I could run through walls for her.

My mom died when I was 11 and we would jam out to Alanis growing up still listening to Alanis. I’m 33 now and her music sometimes just hits the feels.
Very sorry to hear....😥
God bless you sweetheart, you and your mum had great taste!!
This reminds me of my mom too 😢❤❤❤❤ I love you!
I'm sorry you had to experience that so young. But it's wonderful to have those memories
Her memory is eternal and Alanis keeps sharing her love spiritually...God bless 🩷
Then she got serious with music and somehow stumbled down the staircase and managed to land on her feet with Jagged Little Pill and the rest is history.
she was the owner of maverick.. right?
I missed this album (and a lot of music) when I was young in the 90s
Only discovered it at the last five years (except Ironic I think)

Then repeat it now, with the song "Ablaze" by alanis, that would fit.
Listening to Alanis gives me a kind of nostalgia that I don't really get from alot of artists. Her voice just reminds me of a better time, a more innocent time, a time that we just don't get much anymore, if at all. It's bittersweet. Alanis is very ethereal that way.

I used to love this album, I was mostly into metal and punk but a few pop/rock artists like Alanis really stood out to me.

She is so naturally beautifully, and talented. What is more vulnerable than a close up of you… and a close up singing. Love this song
I dunno, you're making me think, but there's the "Thank You" video, where she's naked!

Well said. It's elegant in it's simplicity.
Agreed. She's beautiful in this video.

Purely just Singing in front of an imaginary mirror about her current state of mind with her emotions. Probably cost $10 to make yet 💯 is perfect for it. If this song was made by anyone else today, it would be random sexualisation that has nothing to do with the lyrics & emotion.

This video is pure courage and integrity. By filming close-up like this, she leaves herself nowhere to hide - she means every word, and she's not afraid to own them.
Those Gorgeous Brown Eyes and Beautiful Smile. What a Masterpiece.
I love the chord change, when she sings "head over feet". It's like the chords are higher than expected. Nice 🙂
It's a beautiful, timeless classic, from a beautiful lady with an amazing voice! ❤

I interpret it this way:
She's not actually saying these things to her love. She can't bring herself to, because it comes on so strong. She's only thinking this in her head. That look at the end is wistful, before switching to a smile.
Actually, it looks like she's practicing what to say.
I went through quite a lot of comments here and they are mostly about the love of two people. I listened to this song many, many times with the same idea in my head. I'm in a good place with myself right now and it's news to me. Today for me this song is about self love. I'm so much braver than I gave myself credit for.
WAS BLESSED I HAD ACTUALLY EXPERIENCE REAL MUSIC IN MY YOUNGER TIMES. 90'S SONG ARE THE BEST!
You're typing this on a device that can share data across the world and access a database of music literally unheard of until the past few years. What the fuck are you talking about.
Eric Bishton Absolutely not the same.
Eric Bishton what the fuck are you talking about.
Alex Gibson the 80s? Cmon man
Alex Gibson absolutely love both Metallica and guns and roses ( also mj as it happens ) grew up listening to all that myself .
Where!?
@@Canadianforestfairy It was at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham, AL
Her eyes are so golden brown! Light and confident, inviting you into her music and innocently playful! She's beautiful
Those are hazel. :)
Ive those same colored eyes, as does my big brother. People have called them "beer eyes" cuz theyre the shade of pale ale.
Such a simple music video by an amazing beautiful women, inside and out she needs no make up or a front and her music never gets old. Honestly, its timeless!
Also am I the only one who feels this video accurately represents their ADHD
her distractedness and Disassociation in this video is so me!!
Lyrics
I had no choice but to hear you
You stated your case time and again
I thought about it
You treat me like I'm a princess
I'm not used to liking that
You ask how my day was
You've already won me over in spite of me
Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault
Your love is thick and it swallowed me whole
You're so much braver than I gave you credit for
That's not lip service
You've already won me over in spite of me
And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
And don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault
You are the bearer of unconditional things
You held your breath and the door for me
Thanks for your patience
You're the best listener that I've ever met
You're my best friend
Best friend with benefits
What took me so long?
I've never felt this healthy before
I've never wanted something rational
I am aware now
I am aware now
You've already won me over in spite of me
Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
And don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault
You've already won me over in spite of me
And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
And don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault
Your love is thick and it swallowed me whole... 🤔🤔🤔🤔

No crazy video needed. This is thought provoking, and her eyes are just so captivating. 🙌🏻🎶❤️
"You are the bearer of unconditional things" the coolest verse in music history to me 😎
This tune still gives me the goosebumps. I love it. Well done, God.
It’s crazy to think she went to numerous record labels for a deal and was turned down, but none other than MADONNA gave her a chance and fell in love with her voice at first listen!
That is absolutely right and accurate.
Nice piece of information. I didnt know it was Madonna who helped her put her name out there. Thank you.
Who’s still playing this in 2024? Her music will never get old
A man walked into my house to fix my oven two weeks and one day ago and it was palpably magnetic between us. Now it feels like this song was written about him. I've never had this feeling before about anyone but it's amazing and all I can think about is this song. So hell yeah I'm listening in 2024.
I do and will :)
Feb 2024.. still playing this song
Yes from Brazil, too. hahahaha...
Me.
Grande mulher 😊e grande musica
