Increase in meth cases in schools with 4 last year and 3 already in Term 1 this year

There is an increase of methamphetamine in schools with four cases last year and 3 cases already in Term 1 this year.
This was revealed by Assistant Minister for Education Iliesa Vanawalu while opening the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at Suva Grammar School.

The Drug issue has been festering for many years in Fiji. It has only come to light recently on how severe it actually is on the ground. This is an issue that the Coalition Government has inherited and they essentially have to catch up in terms of remedying the issue.

All talk no action. What have the Ministry of education in partnership with the Fiji Police force to have more awareness programm and unplanned Police Dog unit checked in schools. Why is this not done???? Sa rauta na workshops after workshops and do your job. Why are you not inviting the Police officers ro come speak in schools everytime they have assembly????? The more awareness you drill into their brains the Primary and Secondary schools students the better. Sa increased na MP salary sa sivia ga no moce

Just all the talk and no action. Thank you please we want to hear things like the govt has increase the manpower in the disclinary force and they are now on mobile a nd on foot patrol at suspicious location in relation to hard poisonous drugs 24hrs 7days.
