I did not know anything about this car. New respect, it deserved more recognition
In Italy it is very well known, and, despite the many problems, it has many fans.
But also in France, which currently seems to be the region that retains the largest number of Turbo and Germany had its moment of glory.
I was able to drive both the De Tomaso 1300 and the 2 versions of the Turbo: the Sanyo and the CB60 .... they are very fun cars, the Turbo has really high performance, but a really nervous behavior .....

In 1985 I was 18 and bought an Innocenti Mini 90 blue colour, as my first car. Choice this because the modern design (in that time every car look like old fashioned for me!), fast car but Leyland engine broken very often!

Unfortunately this car was never officially imported into the United Kingdom (your comment at 1:50), and certainly not by Leyland. There were a handful of specialist importers (some of which carried out right hand drive conversions) and a handful of personal imports (I imported a 1979 De Tomaso into the UK from Germany and ran it for 8 years)

but, in my defense, I can say that I found the information in an old magazine, which spoke precisely of availability, in the Leyland list of the Mini produced in Italy by Innocenti. And, if I remember correctly, I also saw some advertising material from the time that said this.
