    Another great review! Think I'll grab some of these.
    For full transparency would you mind disclosing whether these reviews are out of your own pocket, paid for or free products?
    Thanks and keep the reviews rolling. Looking forward to see your take on the Fermzilla!

      Most of the items large items I've had over the years were from bartering, as in I did the Keg King and Kegland video intros and I get equipment instead of money, I also put their advertising on my webpage that they don't pay for so if I need something I can barter again. When people click through my links it lets kegland or whoever know that people have come from watching my videos, which makes them happy, sales and a very small percentage from each sale goes into an affiliate account which I can't get cash for but I can trade for items and will be doing giveaways very soon. So this item I paid for out of that. I don't work for anyone or do paid reviews, yet. As I have no income, I'm stay at home Dad and make approx $100 a month from youtube, some months, some months its nothing. It allows me to brew and do videos. I'd love to be sponsored, I think some are scared of my honesty, but if I don't like something I just don't do a video on it. I could of cut the end of this video out where it looked like it was playing up, where as really it was the floating pick up tube hitting the bottom of the fermenter, idiot. hahaha
      The reason I use kegland all the time though isn't just because of any affiliate link, I've got affiliate links for ebay, amazon etc its the same reason I used to do keg king videos all the time, they are the only people doing new exciting stuff in Australia, I can no way afford to import equipment from the USA or UK to review. Its also affordable. I'll do equipment from anyone but kegland and keg king are they only people that have come to the party. My channel has had over 2 million views biggest brewing channel in Australia and my stats beat 99% of the USA channels including the pro channels. So the audience is here, COME ON SPONSORS lol
      Just incase they read this I did offer to do a brewing recipe kit for a local brew business but they sent me a full page of rules and regulations or whatever that I got bored reading halfway through, considering it was just for a single brew it, i didn't bother with it, I thought I'd be doing them a favour.
      The time it takes to do the average video, recording, editing plus buying subject matter unfortunately completely outweighs any income from youtube. Usual video takes 2 or 3 hours to shoot, longer on a brew day of course and then the editing is at least another 5 hours usually. Not complaining because I like to do it, its just not sustainable for most people.
      Shit that went on for way too long! lol
      Hope that answers your question!
      Cheers mate!

      Sometimes when I order things free things will be thrown in, usually things like beer line, or small stuff, I got some beer glasses and an apron last week. Beerco often add extra hops or old yeast, maybe they do that for everyone I don't know. The Viking Malt from Home Make It was sent for free and I said that a few times. The inkbird was free from inkbird, but I'd bought one a few months earlier anyway, just hadn't got around to finishing the video. Thinks that's everything! Cheers

      @@HomeBrewNetwork The thing I love about your channel is your honesty. I'm pretty sure if a product was crap, you'd just say so😂 Tbh it's a shame you don't make more of the channel, because the videos you produce have influenced a lot of homebrewers, because you have an informative, no bs approach.

    I have this! Williams brewing sells them in the states. It’s nice but there’s still some turbulence in the tubes from it. I use it to reduce the pressure of 40psi water, and it works, but the stream is still a tad disrupted. It’s still way better than a flow control faucet though.

  • @CountDrunkula
    @CountDrunkula 5 років тому

    Wow, that works fantastically. I've got an inline flow controller and it works, but of course works better with some 3/16" tube in there to do the heavy lifting. Loved seeing you titting about with the pressure to see how much you can abuse it - a man after my own heart. Cheers.

    I'm going to get some of these. The default line length that came with the Kegland Kegerator kit I bought are a bit too short. Good for keeping the fridge tidy, not so good for a nice slow pour though.

    So, your opinion - better to go with these kegland flow controls (which, in the US, at $30 each) or with the kegland secondary regulators to reduce the gas pressure individually on each keg? The secondaries are about $13 each, but have a 0-60 psi gauge which you can swap for the 0-23 psi for about $5 each - making the secondary with a 0-23 gauge $18 each?

      Dont use these for kegs, in a kegerator, these are good for serving from a vessel with a very short line at high pressures, but I wouldnt use them in a kegerator. Cheers!

    Got mine the other day, not used yet but mine only has about one turn from closed to open whereas yours seems to need a few turns. Anyone else notice this with theirs or have a any issues? I'm worried mine will restrict flow quite a bit as it's harder to blow air through it at fully open compared to a standard fitting...

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  5 років тому +2

      I havent fitted out my kegerator yet, but I do think they are more restricted when open compared to a usual QD. Mine turns about one and a quarter turns. next few weeks I will be trying to outfit my kegerator with them and think I will have to shorten lines and up gas pressure a touch, but until then thats about all I know mate. Cheers!

  • @Peter-Southern-Victoria-Aust
    @Peter-Southern-Victoria-Aust 4 роки тому

    just wondering can you get away with using these in the keggerator with a short amount of line? I have one of the Kegland's keggerators and I'm sick of having to use 2 metres or how ever long the hose is, they take up space and are just a nuisance rally, I was hoping to use the shortest amount of hose possible

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  4 роки тому

      They didnt work really well on kegs, they are apparently redesigning them for that. I still use mine as shown here. Cheers
