that first side was looking nice around the edges after the first flip, but the second side looks like it was cooked at a much lower temp. You might wanna try pre-heating your cast iron on low to medium for a bit (maybe like 5-10 min idk) in addition to what you're already doing, or pre-heat it in the oven to your desired temp. Additionally, patting the meat dry or maybe dry-brining the meat by sprinkling salt on all surfaces ahead of time can help reduce the amount of water on the surface, which can help lead to a better sear (since the heat is searing the meat instead of evaporating the water from the surface of the steak).
