When I was a little kid, maybe 10, so 1995, we stopped in the middle of a family road trip to go get a picture of me standing in front of no problem. I will always have super fond memories of that beast
I wasn't even alive for this era but Army Armstrong was the voice of my childhood thru the video games of the 90s, legitimately surreal seeing him again. Great memories of watching both of your parents drive back in the day, cheers bro!
as a kid in the 80's I counted the days from Sunday to Sunday to see Army Armstrong and all these Legends pioneer the sport I love!!!!!! R.I.P. The Great Gary Porter and John Moore!!!!!!! Thanks So Much to you and your Father for all you do!!!!!! This amazing event that made me cry when Heidi Moore came out And for putting Derek from VGG in The Black Stallion YOU GUYS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome to see u back in business and one of the most legendary events. I wanted to attend very badly had done the xtreme king sling ride the day prior 🙏🤟 keep up the awesome content Mike!
Mike, I hope one day, you will be looked back on with the same love and admiration that we have for these Legends! Your a boss brother, Thank you for all you do
Can’t believe this was in Raleigh literally an hour from me and I heard no mention or saw anything about this event happening.. I would’ve been there in a heartbeat! Wow. So much nostalgia and so many memories.. damn hate I missed it
This was awesome Mikey. I watched all these truck and drivers including your parents back in the 90s. Would have loved to see the Boogie Van back in action. This made my day. I could see this getting bigger with the older guys for a show once a year. Sure wish we still had John Moore, Wayne Smozanek, and Scott Hartsock. RIP
So cool 😎 Back to the 80s/90s...Carolina Crusher, Equalizer, Nitemare, Outlaw,... Awesome action and emotions. And the gentlemen have not unlearnt anything 😃👍🏻
Literally Chills the whole time watching, what an amazing tribute and to watch childhood hero's straight lay it to the floor like they never missed a beat.
I hope and pray this becomes a yearly thing with a bigger lineup at a bigger track. Or maybe even a tour. This was dope 🔥🔥🔥 Sooner or later, itd be cool to see new school drivers take over the seats whenever the OGs feel like they wanna call it a day. Its crazy how they still got it all these years later 🙌🙌🙌 Preciate you for this Mikey. I always love backstage footage, especially for shows this special.
Awesome action from my neck of the woods and it was awesome to meet up with you that night, my dude. Big thanks for putting me on the end of your vlog, Mikey. Love ya, bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is bringing back MAJOR nostalgia vibes. I remember hurrying home from school everyday to finish my homework in time to catch the monster truck races on ESPN everyday.
I was with Dave the weekend before and the weekend after. I got a chance to sit down and talk with him about doing the show and what it was like to drive a new truck after all those years. Such an amazing guy and such a cool conversation.
Thank you so much for everything you did for Dave. It was great to finally see him race in person. It is a day I will remember forever. It was also great finally getting to meet you.
This is so freaking awesome, I would so love to see these trucks running in monster Jam, maybe not with the old drivers though cause I can imagine it might take a toll on some of them after being out of the sport for so long and at their age. But then again Dennis Anderson keeps surprising me with his KingSling mega mud truck and the crazy stuff he does with that. Gary Porter will forever be one of my top 5 Old School drivers. #1 Dennis Anderson, First monster Truck driver I met as a child and always loved the Digger. #2 Randy Brass when he drove Bigfoot 10, #3 Gary Porter from the 80s all the way into the 2000s, #4 Lyle Handcock back in the Penda Racing Series in Grave Digger #5 Tom Meents during the Monster Patrol era into when he had to drive Bulldozer cause his new truck (Goldberg) wasn't finished yet
Found your channel roundabout via Off the Ranch, then what do ya know I was at this show!!! Awesome to see the behind the scenes. First rally I took my family to, great fun. Little did I know at the time I drove right past you guys when I was exiting the show. Lol awesome!
Awesome seeing legendary Gary Porter back in a Carolina Crusher truck!!! I was lucky enough to meet Gary, pre-show in the pits, at the Fayette County Fair (Pennsylvania) in the early 90's and he was the most welcoming, friendly, and genuine person to that 10 yr old Carolina Crusher fan from WV (me).
Wow what an amazing video Mikey. Honestly this one have me chills when I watched it. N seeing Scott Douglas and Army Armstrong was just amazing. I used to watch them call the action back on TNT n seeing them wow. N then to see No Problem backout there and all the drivers that drove those trucks. I cant pick a favorite but if I had yo.itd have to be Gary Porter. If they hold this event again I hope they ask Dennis Anderson to come back n make a run. Thank you for the video n nice to see your doing well.
I rewatched that 1990 TNT season just a couple years ago so it's pretty fresh in my memory. These guys looked great out there. I think it would have been funny and cool if Denis Anderson made a guest appearance and threw a driveshaft on the track for old time's sake.
epic vid man, good to see you back in action.
