I listen to death metal as a Christian. Many death metal bands aren’t actually anti religious but it’s just a theme for their music. Many death metal bands take inspiration from horror movies from the 80s.(many of them having anti religious/satanic theme). There aren’t many bands that are satanist in the death metal scene . It’s actually very uncommon and it’s a stereotype most of us hate . The lead singer of slayer is actually catholic and bands like cannibal corpse don’t support violence or hate . It’s just a theme for their music taken from real life serial killers and slasher movies Religion isn’t something most people talk about openly and you would be surprised how many Christians there are in the metal scene . If you look back to the 80s, many Christians called ozzy osbourne satanic even though he is a practicing catholic who prayed before concerts.
Cannibal corpse is an interesting band to bring up because the lead singer has said multiple times he doesn’t sing about any politics or anti religious agendas. Their songs are ripped straight from horror movies . It’s essentially “ horror” music. Cannibal corpse don’t encourage violence or glorify violence. It’s simply a form of media. I personally won't listen to it due to the aggressive nature of death metal. And many of these bands still endorse, tour or support anti Christian bands. I openly began blaspheming and openly displaying hatred for God, specifically Jesus Christ (even though I was an Atheist who apparently didn't believe in any God). Why? Because the spirit of satan empowers these artists, and it then empowers it's listeners, whether they believe the spiritual or not. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this take: There is no such thing as "Christianity". Sure, you can use the word as an umbrella term for all religious world views that have something to do with Jesus, but in most situations when talking about specific sets of belief, a broad umbrella term is not particularly useful. What I'm trying to say is, there is simply no real canonical Christian belief. Some people think the bible is inerrant, others believe the bible is divinely inspired but written by humans and therefore prone to error. Some people who call themselves "Christian" even think the accounts described in the bible never actually happened but contain some sort of metaphorical truth. Then we have people who think the moral statements in the bible are objectively true at all times whereas others are convinced that God made the bible specifically for the people of the time when it was written, meaning we are allowed to condemn things such as slavery today. Not to mention the endless disputes between people believing in the rapture and a second coming of Jesus and those who think he'll stay dead. And then there is the entire rabbit hole of historically early Christian beliefs that were suppressed due to political reasons and are therefore not prevalent anymore today. I could go on and on with all these major and minor differences but I hope you get the point. Everyone thinks their particular interpretation of Christianity and the bible is correct and everyone else is wrong, but what even is the point of defending so-called Christian ideas if we can't even agree on what they are, even IF we accept that Jesus and God etc. are real? That, in my view, is the main reason why discussions about specific religious beliefs often fail or lead nowhere...

Mainstream pop music is more worse than this, including deceitful worship music that lukewarm Christian’s listen to. This type of music should be the least of your concern 🥴🤘
If this rubs you the wrong way then that’s the point 😎🤘
It doesn't rub me the wrong way, evil is evil, sin is sin. I came out of the metal scene so I will make content exposing it and to inform others. I can focus on what ever the Lord puts on my heart. Otherwise we can just ignore everything as there is always something worse out there.
The point of it all......... there is a spirit behind all forms of wickedness (as you say, you see it in pop music, rap music, movies and series, world governments) it is one and the same spirit... so if that spirit exists.... God must exist. Also, besides that, I came from a extremely dark place, and God turned my life around after almost taking my own life due to the absolute mess I found myself in (as an ex God-hating atheist). Stop trying so hard to play the whole nihilistic badman character behind your keyboard bro...
@@WaRn00b85 my whole stance is that I can listen to whatever I want and still be saved by the blood of Jesus and you religious folk can say what you want but my business is none of your concern. No one’s playing a “bad man” like you say I am 🥴🤷♂️
So wicked
My only issue with the whole Satanism thing, is that in acknowledging the existence of the Devil, you're also acknowledging that god is real too.
And that's just silly.
You may as well worship the tooth fairy.... Or anti tooth fairy while you're at it.
As a former, god-hating, militant Atheist...I used to think so too... but the way my life spiraled out of control, and almost taking my own life as a result, or at the very best case, ending up in prison or dead due to either a car crash, bike crash or result of a brawl and getting stabbed/shot, etc... I can tell you my life turned around 180° when I cried out to Jesus Christ... so how do you explain that? Go look up the historical, archaeological, and scientific evidence for Jesus Christ and The Bible before you spew lies about God not existing... you can't argue against the evidence... you choose to deny it, and live in a your own fantasy world.

The mainstrain "Satanic" religions are actually just a bunch of edgy atheists who like to trigger believers. There are almost no people who call themselves satanists who actually believe in "the devil"
Most "Satanists" are basically just edgy atheists. They don't believe in a literal devil.
@@WaRn00b85 You lost me at "god hating militant atheist".
There's nothing "militant" about any of my attitudes or opinions.
I don't hate something that doesn't exist.
I'm not wasting time in my one and only life reading your paragraph of blah blah blah.
Get over yourself.
Praise the dark lord triumph 😂
