Once again, Drew of Atmora returns with tales and songs of "Dawn's Beauty". Really cool to see the work done here, as well as the armor and mods used to facilitate it. A short movie of the Elven civilizations in the Merethic Era would be awesome to see, every time I see the Ayleids portrayed in videos like this, I can only imagine what some well-animated/generated Visuals would look like. You guys ever think, perhaps, one day an Elf imbued with the essence of Trinimac could face a Man with the essence of Lorkhan, in this upcoming 2nd Great War? I just wanna see a Shezzarine fight a Mer who's been blessed by Malacath with the light of Trinimac and see their ancient battle be redone, but this time as mortals and not fully-powered Et'Ada.
The sorts of things that would have to be set aside to "redo" that ancient battle in any capacity, even on a small mortal scale, would be... Great and many. I think I'd be more interested in how Malacath even _could_ let go of his bitterness for enough of a moment to let the spark of Trinimac shine in anyone else, or in how Akatosh could shed Auriel enough to imbue anyone with Lorkan's blessing. That would be one hell of a story.
@@YourWaywardDestiny Well, Malacath doesn't actively ask his Orsimer children and followers to purposefully attack Dunmer or Khajit, the people of the Good Daedra that had corrupted him. I feel that, while he's a bit of a downer, that the core values he has is still that of his old self. To let another Mer mantle the currently empty spot of Trinimac amongst the Elven Et'Ada, I feel, would be a helluva way to pass on the torch. Or, at least, bless a Mer with a Warrior's heart to help the Elves in a grand battle with Lorkhan's forces. Shezzarine's still exist due to Lorkhan's scheming, and while Akatosh currently exists, Auriel will always be the initial Time-God of the Dawn, and I'm sure he'd be more than willing to speak with Malacath in however God's conversate nowadays. Especially since Malacath's Realm stretches from Oblivion to Aetherius..
@@thalmoragent9344 All that is a reasonable assessment, inline with the lore and an easy conclusion to come to and all. I just foresee a lot of incapacity to tune out any of the, ah, background noise that comes with each of their current state of being as a large hurdle I'd love to see how they could get past. Malacath isn't going to see being rejected (so to speak) by the then-Aldmer as something small, he is very fond of those cast aside with him for a reason, and his sphere has been accompanied by a bitter, dogged demand to persist for so long, it would be very interesting to see what could come up to make him set aside his cursed aspect to give an inch to anyone who descended from the Aldmer that also didn't keep loyal to him. So, a non-Orc elf would be a hard sell, and it'd take an interesting Orc indeed to pass over the love of Malacath to try to dig deeper into the part that persists as Tirnimac. We've seen such things happen, but the Orcs (just like Malacath) are shown to be pretty good about passing down legends of past consequences. And Lorkan/Shor? That half of Akatosh would, naturally be all for the love of humans, no arguments about that. Except the other head equally loves the elves, even if so far, we haven't been shown much of that favor in lore. It's hard to go behind your own back, so it'd have to be a mighty fight with himself to place even more favoritism on humanity, I think. That would also be an interesting tale to hear how it was overcome. I think seeing how it came to this would be equally as interesting as the fight itself, I am on board with a little mini recreation of a past duel, over all, I'd like to dig in to all the circumstances around it, too.
Seems to me Pelinal may have been the first of the Shezzarines who appear during times of great need… it kinda creates the image in my head of humans and other followers of Lorkan in the future crafting a cyborg to send back in time so that their fragile history plays out the intentional way. Time having been broken so many times of course
I just realized a connection between Pelinal and Mehrunes Dagon, both are said to be "Star Made". Dagon was said to be made in Lyg by the Magna Ge while Pelinal is named the Star Made Knight by masters of Alteration. Both seemed to have been made to uproot tyranny and free slaves. Is Pelin-El an attempt by the Magna Ge to create a mortal version of their living weapon concept using a crystalized drop of Lorkhan's blood instead of the obscene power of hope as the power source?
You have a Unique talent for storytelling my friend and even bringing fiction and fantasy to life, this was a fantastic experience that words can't describe, my god man this was awesome to listen too....Thank you for this.
Wait, do I understand correctly, that this Pelinal is basically something like an angel of vengeance of lorkhan/shor for the races of men, and could still be summoned? Or have I misunderstood this, and the chance to summon him was lost, when the Amulett of Kings was destroyed during the Oblivion crisis? Or am I mixing stuff up now?
Just recently learned of Pelinal and had so many questions and here you go and post a perfectly timed and beautifully executed telling of The Song Of Pelinal. Thank you again for such great content.
A great comeback story for elder scrolls 6 keeping with the trope of a “chosen one” would be an avatar of auriel, or another shezar avatar as the protagonist
Outstanding video! Perhaps the best one yet. I love the lore behind Pelinal Whitestrake. I also appreciate how you easily explained the very complicated topics of the the divines and the relationship with Shor.

Drew please check the validity of your sponsors. I visited the Library of Dusk hoping to read it's infinity and eight never before read texts, but they ONLY had infinity and seven. How am I supposed to adequately achieve insanity, insomnia, and zero summing if they don't have enough books. That aside, great video man. Pelinal lore is always interesting. Brutal, but interesting lol
I love Michael Kirkbride's writing, but I hate his view that Pelinal should be a time traveling cyborg. It just seems like a distraction from the more interesting storyline of a reincarnating Shor showing up in man's time of need.
I don't mind the time-traveling cyborg thing. Besides, no presentation of him ever _feels_ like a time-traveling cyborg anyway. He still looks and feels like a decidedly fantastical knight.
@@miro.georgiev97 he never mentioned immersion though. He specifically said the cyborg thing just feels like a bit of a downgrade with regards to storytelling than what the interpretation he preferred was. We're not talking about Skyrim mods. He just preferred the divine knight angle lmao I'm indifferent personally. The song of pelinal is largely a reman era text and so some things are likely embellished, cyborg shit included. But he's such a fun character to emulate in elder scrolls games that I'm good with the fantastical versions.
I imagine the ayleid ancient structures as massive and tall polished white with brilliant stained glass and crystal windows where now is hollow, and the high elves based their architecture off is this which is why their cities are described as they are.

That sounds incredibly awesome, I’d love to see that!!
Malacath is also my favourite daedric prince, looks badass and lore is interesting. Plus orcs themselves are cool.
That was Awesome!
REEEEEMAAAAAAAAN!
That "Word from our sponsor" got me tho'. I nearly skipped past it automatically 😂
I did as well lmao
Far and away the best TES content on the internet, please never cease
Pelinal “Rip and Tear until it is done* Whitestrake
Pelinal "I line my shelves with the heads of elves" Whitestrake
You have a Unique talent for storytelling my friend and even bringing fiction and fantasy to life, this was a fantastic experience that words can't describe, my god man this was awesome to listen too....Thank you for this.
I think we can all find solace in Pelinal's message: "elf bad, Human good
Also apperently he doesn´t like cats..
Top tier elder scrolls content , some of the most digestible but in depth and referenced on UA-cam
This is incredible.
Or am I mixing stuff up now?
my most favorite ES character thank u dragon age also has fun lore keep up the work
What a great video! My all time favorite
This is fucking incredible level of quality for a video. Keep it up!
What a Divine synthesis. Excellent lore
36 lessons of vivec pretty please with a bar dau on the top?
Outstanding video! Perhaps the best one yet. I love the lore behind Pelinal Whitestrake. I also appreciate how you easily explained the very complicated topics of the the divines and the relationship with Shor.
Thank you drew for yet another banger of an upload, I absolutely love how you present the lore!
That was absolutely fantastic! 😁 Thank you! 💙💙💙
Been listening to Drew since the early fudgemuppet days, im convinced that also lead the algorithm to suggesting another Australian channel; mr Sunday movies 😂
I think it really interesting that the ayleids somehow managed to combine worship of mirridia and molag bal in the same culture they are basically opposities
From a meta perspective he does seem like players character his actions are very much like how a lit people play.
The Elder Scrolls lore is just something else.
@@miro.georgiev97 If being a time traveling cyborg is so irrelevant, then why even bother mentioning it?
@@badluck5647 Because it's just cool? I don't know. Sometimes, "immersion" isn't the end all, be all that so many people feel like it must be.
@@miro.georgiev97 he never mentioned immersion though. He specifically said the cyborg thing just feels like a bit of a downgrade with regards to storytelling than what the interpretation he preferred was.
We're not talking about Skyrim mods. He just preferred the divine knight angle lmao
I'm indifferent personally. The song of pelinal is largely a reman era text and so some things are likely embellished, cyborg shit included. But he's such a fun character to emulate in elder scrolls games that I'm good with the fantastical versions.
I couldn’t agree more
Love the video! Pelinal is one of favorite characters ever. Thanks you bunch, I learned some stuff I didn’t know before :)
Love your content everytime. Would love to see some original stories based on the lore sometime to tide us over for another 20 years until ES6😂
You truly have the heart of a poet, Drew ❤🔥
I imagine the ayleid ancient structures as massive and tall polished white with brilliant stained glass and crystal windows where now is hollow, and the high elves based their architecture off is this which is why their cities are described as they are.
