Just bought the same model, same colour with the 100bhp Turbo motor. Haven't had so much fun behind the wheel for years. Great little car, well equipped and here, surrounded by speed bumps, not once scraped the bottom!
I own a 2018 Kia picanto 1.0l Gt line, and I can tell that this car is really good. The handling is superior. No vibration problems on the highway, An easy and smooth Manuel transmission. The only thing to actually complain about is the fuel economy due to the small engine.
Do you have to drive over many speed bumps and does the underside of the front bumper scratch when you drive over them. I have to drive over many speed bumps and some are high rock hard stone squares that would ruin any low bumpers.
I got one in February this year, I just love everything about it, I’m impressed with its power on a freeway it just fly’s. All over a fantastic little car.
NutriFIT nutritie si fitnes I’m not sure what you mean. I’m assuming you mean the acceleration from 0 to 100. In that case you might say that it is not fast. Luckily I never have to travel such a distance faster than that. All I’m saying is that it is a small and light vehicle with a relatively powerful engine. Basic physics will tell you that that fact might give you the feeling that it is “quite fast”. FFS dude, I know it’s not a Ferrari 🙄

We have the UK GT-line S which has the turbo engine. It's a great little car and is just as happy on long motorway trips as it is around town. Although it's not really a 'hot' hatch, it's certainly warm and is great fun to chuck around. We have no complaints about it and we find the cabin feels much more expensive than the car's price (around 16000 GBP) would have you imagine. I've just remembered one complaint - there's no delay on the rear wiper, and that's a pain. Sadly I have to give up driving very soon due to a neurological condition. I'm really going to miss my Picanto!
I fail to understand why it's so often mentioned "for that price you can have a bigger car". People looking for a car in this segment are not necessarily on a budget but may well WANT a small car. That's kind of the point. But other than that, nice and clear presentation.
Times Change. Years ago I had an Alfa Romeo 1.5 Alfa Sud 0 to 60 9.9secs top speed 105. 95 bhp and that was FAST back then. This GT line has only 2/3rds the engine but does 2/3rds more MPG. The Alfa was fun when it worked-it was always breaking down--this Kia won't. It's a car you won't mind keeping for 7 years my only gripe is why need to enter the boy racer market when it had all the class it needed in standard trim?
I downsized from a 520D to a Picanto 3 automatic. The MPG around town is the same for both cars at 36 mpg. On the motorway its 47 mpg for the 520D and 37 mpg for the picanto.
The car is right for backing out of my long narrow winding drive. It's ultra narrow width therefore is a must. The rest is mainly shopping with the occasional freeway drive, sometimes interstate. But, the Picanto X is 15mm higher & city concrete 'furniture' is a major problem here. The extra height is a plus. If someone made a Picanto size Hyundai Venue, they'd just about have hit the spot.
The AEB even on the most sensitive setting does not give any confidence that it will work. It does however stab the brakes when going over speed bumps or when turning near a kerb! The brakes are very sharp and take a bit of getting used to and the ride is VERY firm and jostly. It gets worse going from 65 to 55 to 45 profile tyres. Why do this? I drove the manual as a courtessy car for 1000 miles and it gave 38 mpg. The auto gives 37 mpg over the same journeys. The auto is soooo much nicer to drive.
autonomous emergency braking. the moment you're tailing a car in front of you in a traffic jam, and you're too caught up with something (phone, child, etc), this AEB should spring into action, stopping you from hitting the car in front. it only works at low speed though.
The AEB even on the most sensistive setting gives no confidence that it will do anything in an emergency. Better to keep your eyes on the road ahead and dont speed!
This video is awful. I learned nothing about the power plant, trams,mission, driving impressions. All I got is it has a lot of standard tech. Zero effort

fuel economy is constrained by the laws of physics and so most cars do 35MPG.

Have one too with the turbo engine. It has been chiptuned and went from 100hp to 135hp. Like it a lot😊
I rented out the Kia Piconic It was absolutely brilliant for a small car I would highly recommend it

guys...the gt line is the same as the premium, it only costs more for the sportier look.
The swift glx turbo is so much nicer and has much better visibility thanks to its upright windscreen .
But it's bigger. The Swift won't fit on our tiny front driveway, but the Picanto will!
So 5 reasons none of which include what it drives like.
PS tip for parking. The hand brake contains a useful button: press it before applying!
That's a common argument. I never press it, I let the ratchet do its thing. It's a personal choice.
