Oftentimes drug use (i.e. alcohol, smokes, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, benzos and propofol to name a few) is intertwined with the survival of an artist to deal with the pressure of performing in order to stay relevant in the music industry, and to serve as fuel for creativity. As a result, music celebrities develop a tendency to sin against their body, through excessive drug use, for not measuring up to or to satisfy the demands of their music. Any earthly joy they experience is darkened by the heavy burden of performing and the loss of privacy. The end users of their music become fans because the lyrics are relatable and the sound of the singer’s voice & rhythm helps them cope with the pains of this reality. Unfortunately, this band aid approach is only a time out from the hurt and in the meantime we are fortifying its wall with painful memories waiting in line. Who can save us from wounds that are silent, wordless and cruel all the while tearing us apart inch by inch on the inside, which could radically accelerate the demise of the human body? I will use caps as emphasis to show the honest reverence for GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY when writing about HEAVENLY music in the paragraphs below. That INVINCIBLE DIVINE be our HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO THROUGH HIS SON’S MISSION HAS INSPIRED believers to write songs that sing of HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE to deal with emotional & physical pain, economic instability, mortality and the emotional instability of others with the motive of winning over souls for HIS KINGDOM. The melody & theme of HEAVENLY music is hateful and intolerable to the devil, a spirit which causes us to be blinded of the effects of sin and is responsible for the woes of this world such as melancholy, anguish, tribulation and trial. These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY. This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal. GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV), and hymns/songs giving praise to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within by transforming your body/temple into a meeting place for you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends through the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. It's what you call the anointing of God. The anointing in its simplest form is God Almighty's presence. It's almost like the heavenly and earthly meet. Your spirit and God's spirit connect. I lost my dad in February of this year. He listened to Gaither reunions, concerts etc all his life. He was a pastor. He listened to this song over and over at the end often trying to sing ..until he was no longer able to speak . He knew every word of this song to be fact. He had a personal relationship with his creator. David Phelps sings this song with the conviction it deserves. We played this song at his funeral . I miss and love my beloved dad but I know he is with his creator 💕

September 2022 - I fell asleep listening to the UA-cam channel on my television. I awoke in extreme pain , as I have for the last 37 years, and this song was playing. It touched my very soul and the tears flowed for hours as I listened to it again and again! I have loved the Lord for all of my 77 years, but David singing “No More Night” brought a renewed hope into my life. Praise be to God Almighty!!
My late mother surrounded me with David Phelps and all Gaither music while she played piano for the church I was raised in. She raised my siblings and I to be musicians which gave us the opportunity to appreciate the experience of performing a song with this kind of passion and trust. Since her passing (5 Years this Friday), I have had trouble listening to this kind of music, not because I question the truth in the lyrics, but because I don't want to make a scene at work, at the gym, etc.. This kind of powerful delivery of The Good News so treasured by my mom built the foundation of faith that got me through her loss. Every time I go to sample this music, it reassures me that I will see her again even though it still brings all the grief to the surface. We were fortunate enough to see David and the GVB live twice together, and I will continue to treasure the impact David, Bill, Guy, Mark, and this legacy has had on my life and my faith. Hopefully, this brings hope to those who are experiencing something similar.

It is May 2024 and I am listening to this beautiful song sung by the greatest voice of all time!! My dad died nearly two years ago. Come this August. I was left alone at his bedside. Dad so loved the Gaithers, Guy, David. I put in a CD and this song began to play. He was laying, eyes shut, barely breathing. I opened the window shade to let the sun shine in. The light hit his face, the warmth. This song was playing. I looked at him in amazement. You see his near lifeless body, struggling to breathe, to hang on, was now living. His eyes were squinting to open, his mouth was moving as if he were singing, or talking to someone. There was a feeling in that room I can not explain. A supernatural invasion of the Holiest of all hollies. I've no doubt there were angels filling that room. Was he seeing heaven, my mom who passed before, or Jesus? I don't know. I only know that this song, this artist, for about 5 minutes took my dad from death's door right up to the heaven lies. I called my sister, wife, son, to rush back. The moment they arrived they felt it too and were overwhelmed. If you listen to the words of the song it's clear, dad felt them. No more nights, no more pain, no more tears, no more crying again. Except from his son here who still doesn't understand. Playing this song relives that, painfully in part, but beautifully too. I thank whomever it is that posted it. And David for doing what nobody can do and sing so beautifully.

It makes us wish for it to be a constant feeling but we have to wait and realize it will be in God's time, not ours. I became incrediby sick in early June. Was life flighted across the entire state of Oregon to a hospital in Idaho for life saving surgery and massive doses of antibiotics. Heaven is going to be a very beautiful place. This song filtered into my mind as I reminisce on how close I came close to death. I almost esanguinated as bled during child birth, and was in shock for hours. No pulse, no blood pressure, struggled to breathe even with oxygen. Lost my son but God kept me. It can only be by the mercies of God that I survived. I believe God preserved my life for a great purpose. This world is filled with so much worries, pain, tears..... I sang this song for my mother funeral. Years she suffered, but now laid to rest. For almost 3 years, I've been mourning the loss of her and I've been lost in the faith. Somehow this sound came to me this morning 2021- 04- 15. My grandmother passed away last night at the age of 92. She had 14 children for one husband of whom she was married to for 70 years. I lost my dad in February of this year. He listened to Gaither reunions, concerts etc all his life. He was a pastor. He listened to this song over and over at the end often trying to sing ..until he was no longer able to speak . He knew every word of this song to be fact. He had a personal relationship with his creator. David Phelps sings this song with the conviction it deserves. We played this song at his funeral . I miss and love my beloved dad but I know he is with his creator 💕

September 2022 - I fell asleep listening to the UA-cam channel on my television. I awoke in extreme pain , as I have for the last 37 years, and this song was playing. It touched my very soul and the tears flowed for hours as I listened to it again and again! I have loved the Lord for all of my 77 years, but David singing “No More Night” brought a renewed hope into my life. Praise be to God Almighty!!

I listen to this each morning since my hubby of 52 went to be with Jesus and my Heavenly Father! It keeps my mind where it is supposed to be!
My late mother surrounded me with David Phelps and all Gaither music while she played piano for the church I was raised in. She raised my siblings and I to be musicians which gave us the opportunity to appreciate the experience of performing a song with this kind of passion and trust. Since her passing (5 Years this Friday), I have had trouble listening to this kind of music, not because I question the truth in the lyrics, but because I don't want to make a scene at work, at the gym, etc.. This kind of powerful delivery of The Good News so treasured by my mom built the foundation of faith that got me through her loss. Every time I go to sample this music, it reassures me that I will see her again even though it still brings all the grief to the surface. We were fortunate enough to see David and the GVB live twice together, and I will continue to treasure the impact David, Bill, Guy, Mark, and this legacy has had on my life and my faith. Hopefully, this brings hope to those who are experiencing something similar.

It is May 2024 and I am listening to this beautiful song sung by the greatest voice of all time!! Just sets my soul on fire to hear him sing these songs of our Lord and how He loves us and is preparing a place for us. Another song by David is “ I”m Completely Your’s”” that is just awesome. He just puts his all into this song and it has become one of my favorites. Would love to have it on a CD! Just heavenly how he projects his God-Given talent in these songs! His voice is like no other!!!!! ❤️✝️
My dad died nearly two years ago. Come this August. I was left alone at his bedside. Dad so loved the Gaithers, Guy, David. I put in a CD and this song began to play. He was laying, eyes shut, barely breathing. I opened the window shade to let the sun shine in. The light hit his face, the warmth. This song was playing. I looked at him in amazement. You see his near lifeless body, struggling to breathe, to hang on, was now living. His eyes were squinting to open, his mouth was moving as if he were singing, or talking to someone. There was a feeling in that room I can not explain. A supernatural invasion of the Holiest of all hollies. I've no doubt there were angels filling that room. Was he seeing heaven, my mom who passed before, or Jesus? I don't know. I only know that this song, this artist, for about 5 minutes took my dad from death's door right up to the heaven lies. I called my sister, wife, son, to rush back. The moment they arrived they felt it too and were overwhelmed. If you listen to the words of the song it's clear, dad felt them. No more nights, no more pain, no more tears, no more crying again. Except from his son here who still doesn't understand. Playing this song relives that, painfully in part, but beautifully too. I thank whomever it is that posted it. And David for doing what nobody can do and sing so beautifully.

I became incrediby sick in early June. Was life flighted across the entire state of Oregon to a hospital in Idaho for life saving surgery and massive doses of antibiotics. Heaven is going to be a very beautiful place. This song filtered into my mind as I reminisce on how close I came close to death. I almost esanguinated as bled during child birth, and was in shock for hours. No pulse, no blood pressure, struggled to breathe even with oxygen. Lost my son but God kept me. It can only be by the mercies of God that I survived. I believe God preserved my life for a great purpose.

I sang this song for my mother funeral. Years she suffered, but now laid to rest. For almost 3 years, I've been mourning the loss of her and I've been lost in the faith. Everytime I listen to this song, tears well up in me remembering my former faith. Maybe one day I'll go back to that, but as for now, I don't think I could serve a God that would take my mother away.
