I'm late to the video but I love how this concluded from UP with TITS starting the story of this universe that Logic has created for us fans who enjoy sci-fi and anything akin to that. I'm so thankful that he's finally released the project; that is the Ultra 85 despite it getting scraped then revived, from being a lyrical album to a trap album to an R&B version of it (so I've heard) to now which seems to have a composition of all styles and elements of music that I just mentioned. This leads to something I'd like to point out; such a combination shows Logic's metamorphism in his music, whether it be how he writes or how his production works. This album exemplifies how far he's branched out and how much he's improved in music production too. I noticed the very metamorphic (and quite beautiful) change in Sam Spratt's art as well! Looking back to his old projects; that is his artwork for Logic's previous albums, you can see his blocky-fashion--- if I can call it that, of his paint strokes in his art. Compared to now where he's demonstrated this smooth and curvy fashion of paint strokes (to the point that he makes solid objects seem liquified on the surface). This change occurred when he started working on his project: LUCI, which I find poetic because Logic's sound seemed to change as well when he became independent. Lastly, I want to say that I'm quite happy to see that for once (in a very long time) the RattPack community is showing support for Logic, virtually in unison. This may be the last time we will see him try to go lyrical, but I wouldn't want it to end in any other way, with the long-awaited, Ultra 85. Bryce, though a chapter is closed, a new one will open and I can't wait to see how you go through your change in your youtube channel and as a person! And shout out to the RattPack members who stood patiently for this moment from the start!!!!
this is definitely top 3 in his discography already. i rlly think this will be considered as good as the incredible true story and under pressure once it ages enough and enough time has passed. favorite song on it is either ghost in the machine or interstellar. absolutely love this album, i genuinely feel like it’s a 10/10. ty for the video bryce🙏 much love my man❤️
i never listened to logic, i knew a few songs but it wasn't really my thing but when i saw your vids and how u were hyping it up i decided to give it a try and oh boy, i'll tell you the hype was deserved. it was a very pleasent first listen and really one of the better albums that dropped this year. i'm for sure gonna be spinning it a couple more times and i can see it becoming one of my favourite projects this year. so thanks for putting me on i guess, i probably wouldn't even check it out if it weren't for you 😅
Bro honestly I respect your review. You said “I talked about each song already I don’t need to rate”. That type of thing I haven’t seen anyone do before, especially on an album review. In the midst of this hype/hate mentality I seen people have on they platforms. This is refreshing and I can tell you’re genuine person God bless you Bro. I enjoyed the content 👍🏽
man this was such an enjoyable watch Bryce im thankful for what you do man. I know its just a UA-cam vid but getting to listen to my friend talk about and go in such detail about something im so passionate it just special man. been stressed as hell lately and to get to sit back and watch you break it down and shut off the rest of the world for 25 min was real;ly nice. thank you dude seriously
The production across the album is great and there are definitely some great songs here but his pen game and songwriting is just pretty weak. A lot of the songs are VERY lyrical heavy. I don’t want to call it lyrical miracle, but basically. And I love UP, TITS, and NP. I understand the appeal of logic, but he just can’t seem to figure out what to write about anymore. He opts for very skill heavy pockets but the actual verses on mostly every song are about the same subject matter. Family, loving yourself, haters, etc. I just can’t feel impacted by a verse that I’ve already heard like 50 times. And on a Logic project, his verses are very important for the success of a song. I also just don’t love the flow he’s been recently. Logic has always been repetitive but his production and flow was so catchy that it really didn’t matter. But he doesn’t really float on beats like he used to. So nowadays the only Logic songs I can really enjoy listening to are the ones where he isn’t repeating something he’s said before, which is very rare. It’s why I love the Vinyl Days track so much. Not only did he use a flow he’s never really used before, but his cadence was great, his punchlines were new, and he didn’t default to his normal talking points. And the sample was so goddamn fire, it’s one of my favorite beats I’ve heard in years. I don’t hate the album, theres like 6 songs I really like. I’m so happy he finally used the over you beat, but it’s just not the breath of fresh air I was hoping for. When he dropped No Pressure, you could tell that he really put an effort into the writing. But (mostly) on this album, it’s just a lot of the same shit. My personal ranking is still TITS, UP, NP, Vinyl Days, and probably Ultra 85 in fifth. That’s if we’re not talking mixtapes, which would bump it down a lot.
I totally agree, me personally i was hoping for more of a story centered album, just like TITS where in addition to the skits there were also some songs narrating the adventure of Thomas and Kay, i mean i know there are skits and there's also a book that does that but i just hoped the lyrics were something a little bit different than the same stuff he usually raps about, like literally same shit different title. I really enjoyed the flow and the lyrical scheme of some songs because they were hands down really well produced, but yeah, i hoped something just a bit different from the last "Logic" album as emcee, i wonder what to expect hearing from "Bobby" now.
14:08 This is such a goated statement. Heres how I explain it. Its like if a heavy metal guitar player listened to jazz and was like "these guitar tones are ass!" like bro its jazz the tones are suppose to be more lowkey and musical. Or like if a opera vocalist listend to soul music and was like "why are they singing like that?". Its a genre thing. Zelooperz fits the vibe perfectly on ANTIDOTE.
Ik Logic is better in his rapping bag than singing bag, but lemme just say, logic's vocals on High Today with Wiz is really top tier singing logic. To this day it's in my top 3 logic singing performances
Background gameplay to keep us locked in hahaha, BUT FUCK THAT DUDE ITS IN MY TOP 2 FOR ME! TITS WILL ALWAYS BE MY NUMBER 1 BUT DAMN IS IT CLOSE! RattPack forever baby!!
tbf ...... logic is the hidden member of the big three, and saying it now, he was always the big three hiphop needed, the historian, the nerd, the person who keeps the past, the future and present, here for all to see in hiphop..... if kendrick is the profet hiphop as a culture needed, and yes we needed him, and cole IS THE KING FOR THE PEOPLE, putting pout verses with new gens, rapping like he still owes rent, then... LOGIC IS THE MERLIN, the wizard, the MYSTIC, the sharman the culture needs... also logic if your reading this keep pushing, also i want a song called SHONEN JUMP featuring Kendrick cole, logic, in no order.... but yeah make that happen would be a god send
Real ones wished logic rapped on the intro track for 10 more mins
16 minutes track would have been so tough 😈😭
Nah fr 😭😭
TALK
Ong one of my favorite tracks in the album 😭
This is probably Logics best produced and lyrical album but most people won’t realize until some years from now
🎯🎯🎯
Dawg this album was his GKMC, his TPAB, his FHD 🔥🔥🔥🔥. This is DEFINITELY worthy of AT LEAST a Grammy

PLP and teleport hits actually different. It’s like I’m reading the memoir again like you said
I’m glad we got a reaction from someone who appreciates and respects logic. So many people overlook or hate on him for no reason.
