  • Is it worth it? Will it improve my fitness? Will it be just an expensive clothes hanger? Is assembly easy? Here is everything I wish I had known before I purchased my M7. This is a real customer review.
    Here is what to know before you buy. An insanely detailed walkthrough of all it’s features. It’s a beginners guide to the Bowflex max trainer m7. You will get to hear the noises it makes. You will get to see all 11 programs. Whether you choose the M3, M5, M6, M7 or M8 the exercise motion is essentially the same.

    I think people are missing the whole point here. Want to burn and lose fat, then weight training is a must. After weights then finish with cardio. Cardio is good for your heart, so I do not discourage anyone to stop doing it, but weight lifting is must. I bought the M6, saw lots of good reviews, and the reason why I got it its for intense cardio. I can't wait for it to get it. Also, I bought it because I barely have time to go to a gym, so I made my own little gym at home and it's convenient for me. I'm a mom of 2 and work from home.

    I know this video is 3 years old but nonetheless I found it useful. I purchased an M3 (used) which was pretty much like new. It is much less sophisticated electronically but essentially it's the same machine, except no squeaks 😹 Either way, it was a coat hanger for a couple of years, never even plugged it in after I bought it. But, after a little caution from my doctor about blood pressure and a few extra pounds I've now started using it every day. I started off with the 7 minute interval (picked randomly) and I've been doing that 3 times per day. I'm hoping to stick with it regularly working up to the 14 minutes. We'll see how it goes, my goal is 20 pounds off and a normalization of blood pressure. I won't be using the glycerine soap hack though (eh)... 😹

    Their model line-up is so confusing. So it looks like they replaced the M5 with the M6, and they replaced the M7 with the M8. But then they replaced the M8 again with the "Total", so now it seems only options are M6 or Total. All that app reviews on play store are terrible (2.2 stars). Really kinda depressing & confusing. I'm thinking maybe go M6 and then don't use the app at all. Seems like they ruined a very good piece of equipment (the M7) by over-tech'ing it and and adding subscription shit to try and take more money.

    Is 20 minutes of elliptical enough?

  • @michellekelly2937
    @michellekelly2937 3 роки тому

    I had an elliptical, and I loved it, but it eventually broke, and now I need a replacement. I saw the Bowflex Max Trainer on the shopping network and was intrigued. I'm just worried it will be so "intense" that I won't want to use it. The elliptical got me sweating, but was also fun. I want an exercise machine that I will enjoy using. I don't want to start sweating 2 minutes after I start!! That's not fun! Do you have any thoughts that might help me decide? Thanks!

    • @tfcotton3524
      @tfcotton3524 3 роки тому +1

      This is elliptical-like, but also similar to a stair stepper. It's like a cross between the two. I love the interval training that includes intense sprints, but also a slow down with the recovery times. But there are several different workouts you can choose. I've had mine (used) a month and I love it.

    • @Mantis_Toboggan_TrashMan
      @Mantis_Toboggan_TrashMan 2 роки тому +2

      It's as intense as you want it. That goes for all equipment like this.
      If you start with the high intensity you'll probably just give up. I would start as slowly as you need. Keep building up those muscles until you can do the high intensity without it being so horrible you don't use it ever again.

      @@lukegeorgetown5545 Thank you, it was a fun project for me. The biggest thing I've learned is that for fat loss, for me, it's all about what I eat. The exercise is good for lots of other reasons, but for fat loss it is minimal. I wanted to believe that I could exercise the fat off, but I found I had to cut out junk food and eat more vegetables.

      I watched this after ordering the M8. Awesomely helpful video - the wife and I can’t wait to start using it. As to diet/exercise - I have tried counting calories and it works well. I’ve also tried intense exercise and it also works for weight loss - but not nearly as well as counting calories. Coupling moderate exercise (2-3 400-600 calorie cycling sessions per week) with calorie counting was extremely effective.
      You hit the nail on the head with your joke about overcooking the pizza. A 5 minute lapse of self control can cost me the equivalent of hours of exercise!
