Started working on my 66 coupe after 4 years because of your new videos of your 66 daily driver. Thanks for the incentive. Looking forward to doing same repairs and get this pony back on the road.
FYI The easy way for me to tell if a block is a 302 is looking at the front intake bolt next to the distributer on the drives side and if you can't see threads on the bolt it a 302 if you see threads beneath the intake on that bolt its a 289.
Have to give you a definite thumbs up. I drive truck and some time ago I picked up someone's project 67 Mustang. Watching you on utube definitely gives me a leg up. Reading about doing something is one thing, your program brings it to another level. Much thanks.
A lot of guys would just driven it....into the ground and walked away. But not so here. Reminds me of when my mother in law wanted a pole barn built and so I did what I normally did and began building. Then afterwards, she said with a great big smile it wasn't a pole barn but rather a house! Later I told her...Sorry......I never built a pole barn before, just houses. Which brings me to this..... I have this funny feeling Ben is going to go way beyond what we might otherwise do in just getting by & buffing this thing out. You'll see. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. 😊
Geez, and this is just a "daily driver"! Most people probably don't go this far on their "restoration" projects. I'm sure this one will turn out to be a really nice 66. 👍
Great vids!! I came for the 66 mustang and liked all your content. Subscribed and will be watching due to my hope in purchasing a Classic finally this this year!
After tinkering with modern cars I've finally decided to pick up a 60s coupe as a weekend driver. Really excited about it after watching your channel. What's your typical order of operations for fixing up a car in similar shape that might have rusted pans or trunk area?
Love you his project idea 💡! I did see your plan you had on this "driver" car.. How was cowl condition? Is it good enough? Or are you going to have to patch it or do the whole upper and lower cowl job ? Keep em coming !!!
I assume with a 50 year plus wiring harness, that you are replacing them. If so, what harness do you use or recommend. I'm going to be wiring a 37 Chev PU with a Gen V 5.3.
Happy Thanksgiving!🦃 Do you put the “export brace” on all your restorations? Ever add in the staggered shock piece to the body and the corresponding plate to the leaf spring?
Yes, I think shipping (container) rates can be pretty reasonable if your willing to wait out your time or better still buddy up with someone that does a regular run…
Would you be willing to share the dimension on the rear fenders from left inside lip to right inside lip. Right now I don't have ready access to my 65 Fastback and I need to get my order in for a custom fit rear axle or I could loose my place in line.
You promised us more vids...we are all waiting. PLEASE

Sorta like that Highland Green(?) color.
Man, those fender aprons and radiator support look pristine, that's a rarity in itself! 😉
Happy Thanksgiving man
Appreciate the update on the driver
If you're traveling with the family
Be safe out there

Yes, happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, and it is so nice to see you back.

Great Progress...!!👍👍
This is the stage, that I stand back..and wonder what I’ve bought…. Then try to restrain myself from over doing it.
Exactly my problem also
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Thanks for the videos, they help me out as I attempt to restore my 65 F250 4x4. 🍻

Hi Mike how are you doing. I hope you had a good weekend. I'm Maria from Minnesota.
Adding Vintage A/C?
But that cowl is right there, within perfect reach. Begging to be replaced!

Good job. When we going to see some new video?
Great job

I will be using the original harness if it checks out.
Hi how are you doing. I hope you had a good weekend. I'm Maria from Minnesota.
You have probably said. But are you going to keep those wheels on your car? Thanks for the great job 👍 😀
No because they won’t clear the new brake kit
Happy Thanksgiving!🦃

Ever add in the staggered shock piece to the body and the corresponding plate to the leaf spring?
Have any of your builds ever ended up in Australia 👍🇦🇺
Yes 2 actually
@@petersonrestorations
So it is possible 👍

Will you be adding the Torque Boxes to the front?
Yes on both sides

Keep up the great work. Love it.
As an owner of a 66 coupe, I really appreciate this series. Do you plan on cleaning up and painting the engine bay?
Why don't you take the engine/trans out as i unit ?
Less of a mess
may i ask what camera you use to film?
EFI conversion?
Is that a grant steering wheel? Was thinking about putting a gt3 performance hub on mine!
I believe it is, came with the car
How’s you get the hood off without any help?
Put foam under the corners
Is it a boss block or you don't know yet just curious
Just a basic 302
@@petersonrestorations cool bro was hoping it was a boss block so you could make it a little more aggressive buddy
Nice video. Again, with your skills you can drive that car until you get bored with it then do a fastback conversion.
forgot to push record...rookie mistake.
