Remeber kids: Reverse grip should only be used while running away. It is hella ineffective and will usually end up with you getting stabbed by yourself
There are actually multiple instances of reverse grip techniques being instated in the traditional Germanic swordsmanship manuals. The reverse grip was actually commonly used within competitions and showmanship. And, was used often in-tandem by a variety of grapple attacks and parrying techniques to repel spear thrusts.
The mind and gravity crystals can be put on the weird stature in the home and you can see this weird skill tree, and the shards you collect around the dungeons. You use them to purchase skills on the skill tree. Hope you read this to understand what the crystals do. :)
if you get two of the same crystal and hold one in each hand and press the top triggers they will merge into a larger crystal and add another layer to the skill tree.
Watching you discover everything was fascinating to me, everything clicked for me right away because of the hundreds of hours I put into this game before the update and my tendency to horde stuff. I wish I had a first time experience like this though, it seems almost way more fun. Also the little shrine in the first room of the house is where you put the gravity and mind crystals you have.

This is legit the most entertaining Crystal Hunt video I've watched so far. I already watched the Blade and Sorcery Crystal Hunt series of AwakenToast, TimelessVR, and DownloadableContent resprctively and while these were nice as well those three were already pros at the game, played the hell out of sandbox mode, watched every trailer and everything, which kind of made them just cruise through the Crystal Hunt gamemode - but, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, seeing you struggle and slowly but surely figuring things out on your own ist just extraordinarily funny and entertaining xD I completely lost it when you didn't realize how to open the boss gate and just turned back entirely 🤣 🤣🤣 As someone with about 20 hours playtime that stuff is just the absolute funniest thing to see. Also loved to see you try and sell that green crystal you had on you - well, giving you any tips would just make this playthrough less enjoyable so I just wish you luck in figuring stuff like this out on your own. Cheers, and thanks a lot for making this video ^^
This game was the whole reason why I got a VR headset in the first place. I saw it on Steam and bought it years back in prevision that I would get a headset XD. I'm guessing by now you surely figured out how to use the crystals; if not, here's a few tips : - Core crystals like the Focus crystal you have are to be used in your home on the dial slots. By setting them in one of three slots, it'll open a skill tree through which you can use the crystal shards (the silver ones you find all over the place) to unlock new skills. You can also refund skills you've unlocked to change your build around with the core crystals you have. - Body crystal is all about improving strength and durability while also enabling special moves with weapons. - Mind crystal is to enable and improve your Focus (aka slow time) and power up your telekinesis abilities. - Fire crystal allows you to throw fireballs and imbue fire in your weapons which allows you to stab through armor and solid rock while also igniting enemies. - Lightning crystal allows you to use a fan of lightning from your hands, the imbue will make you shock enemies on hit and thrown / ranged weapons gain homing. - Gravity allows you to glide and gain a boost jump, makes it possible to make enemies weightless so you can toss them around. - Having more crystals in the dial also makes it possible to unlock cross path skills which combines the effect of two adjoining crystals. - If you unlock more core crystals of the same element / type, next time you're home, you'll see that element's crystal try to link with the one in your inventory. Hold both and hold triggers to merge them into a higher tier crystal which will unlock the next tier of skills (up to 3) - Later tiers have powers that are almost exponentially more powerful than the last like being able to combine spells of the same element into a new spell, have new ways to cast an element or even unlock staves's secondary abilities which are almost broken XD - When grabbed on something you can climb, if you press up (or press in) the right joystick, it'll make you jump from your hold upwards. This is useful to mantle over a ledge. This works too on those hanging lamps you can swing on to propel yourself further. - Higher tier dungeons have better enemies and more of them and are also more likely to have alarms where you get swarmed. At late game, tier 4 dungeons are fun, especially once you have more abilities. I can't tell you how chaotic and powerful you feel once you have Fire, Lightning and Gravity maxed out and taking down enemies left and right like some god of Magic XD - Armor can affect 3 stats : spellcasting speed, mobility and focus regen on top of providing damage reduction for the body part it is equipped on. Caster gear improves casting speed up to making your basic spells almost instant to use. Roguish gear makes your focus recharge faster while heavy armor gives you a lot of damage resistance at the cost of casting speed, focus regen and mobility. - Using Gravity imbuement on heavy weapons makes them easier to wield (since they become weightless). - Best core crystal to speedrun dungeons, IMO, is Gravity since while gliding, you can force push yourself around to boost in a direction... just be careful not to slam into a cliffside or wall too fast. Finally, game has two endings : a normal / bad one (subjectively) and a good one which is tied to a puzzle. The good one rewards you with something VERY satisfying.

Hey Bam. I’m a fan from another UA-camr and actually love your videos but I’ve got some tips for you if you continue to play blades and sorcery. By the way loved this and it has ment came to standalone yet. When it comes to climbing press jump to boost yourself up because when holding onto something it acts as if your standing on ground. Another thing is it’s best to attack fast with brutality so you dismember their body for insta kills. Hope you had fun and I would love to see you play more of this hope you have a great day and will be watching your videos from now on.

(content warning this comment WILL explain some game mechanique you may or may not want to discover yourself) I see no one is doing it so I’m going to be the paragraph guy, so the crystals you can find in the levels are used to upgraded/buy new abilities on your power (in your case gravity). You can do that by going into your house and there's a big monolith like rock and it has sloth for you to put your gravity crystal and you can buy abilities there. each power has 3 tiers which contains 3 abilities that cost crystals (the one you can find in level) the abilities in the first-tier cost 3 crystals in the 2nd tier 6 crystals and 3rd tier 9 for the abilities I am going to let you have the surprise of discovering them. If you have anymore question don’t hesitate. (just want to say I do not play this game I know all this by watching others play which I love to so keep up with the great content and I will love to see a blade and sorcery series of you completing the game perhaps even in hardcore which if you die even once you need to start from the very beginning of the game at least for this let’s play not everything).

I assume u have the Valve Index so probably the right joystick on that. 2) You can fly with grav... well float. 3)[it's not something that you can use but a suggestion] Play sandbox mode. It's so fun!!! And also try mods. They're great! 4)You can decapitate :)

tip any thing that looks sharp or pointy is, (ex) i offed an enemy with a valuable, lightning core and a broken plate. also you can grab people and use them as shields
hey, fun little thing you can do(might have been a mod I had that makes weapons slightly easier to wield but I don't think so, was a knife) slow motion, behind enemy, jump in slow motion, aim weakest knife you got down, into their shoulder(especially if you can spawn/somehow get a higher healthed enemy) if it sticks in, and hopefully you don't bounce out, keep that hand slightly behind you, pointed down, and your hand must be as low as your arm allows. now, other hand, grab SPECIFICALLY their mouth, it wont make them drop, same position as the other arm, but slightly forward in front of you. you are now a Jockey from L4D, and can sort of move based on mouth-hand position in front of you, and moving the move-stick. we are all insane here, and IIIIII definitely didn't do this and force an enemy to go into water and drown... nope...not me! btw if it can't be recreated vanilla, the only mods I was really using doing this, was a spawn npc mod that allowed health changing as well(I doubt a skinning knife or the weakest knife should kill someone in someones shoulder though) and Better Weapon Control (BaS v1.0) (PCVR), but nothing else that would mess with this I believe. was fun... totally not psychopathic at all :)
i started off with climbing the golem, i dint notice there was something there until i got close though, i never noticed there were bows, arrows, and a spear with a shield but if you go around the back, there is a blunt hammer in the ground, i love how when you climb the golem it changes your orientation, super trippy in game
20:21 i imagine the enemies see you running towards them, they get nervous, then see you almost walk off a cliff, pull put a sword, immediately drop it, then stand there lmao, all their fear gone probably (until you kill them lol)

god i wish i had pcvr when seeing this. It was extremly fun to watch you having fun, and it just made it even funnier for me that you struggled so much with the boss, because back in my mind it looked easy, but i guess not🤣.

tip any thing that looks sharp or pointy is, (ex) i offed an enemy with a valuable, lightning core and a broken plate. also you can grab people and use them as shields

hey, fun little thing you can do(might have been a mod I had that makes weapons slightly easier to wield but I don't think so, was a knife)
slow motion, behind enemy, jump in slow motion, aim weakest knife you got down, into their shoulder(especially if you can spawn/somehow get a higher healthed enemy) if it sticks in, and hopefully you don't bounce out, keep that hand slightly behind you, pointed down, and your hand must be as low as your arm allows.
now, other hand, grab SPECIFICALLY their mouth, it wont make them drop, same position as the other arm, but slightly forward in front of you.
you are now a Jockey from L4D, and can sort of move based on mouth-hand position in front of you, and moving the move-stick.
we are all insane here, and IIIIII definitely didn't do this and force an enemy to go into water and drown... nope...not me!
btw if it can't be recreated vanilla, the only mods I was really using doing this, was a spawn npc mod that allowed health changing as well(I doubt a skinning knife or the weakest knife should kill someone in someones shoulder though) and Better Weapon Control (BaS v1.0) (PCVR), but nothing else that would mess with this I believe.

i started off with climbing the golem, i dint notice there was something there until i got close though, i never noticed there were bows, arrows, and a spear with a shield but if you go around the back, there is a blunt hammer in the ground, i love how when you climb the golem it changes your orientation, super trippy in game
Bro that final fught where you end up having to dive onto the biss amd clamber over it to stab its crystals is incredible!
20:21 i imagine the enemies see you running towards them, they get nervous, then see you almost walk off a cliff, pull put a sword, immediately drop it, then stand there lmao, all their fear gone probably (until you kill them lol)
