- I have seen people making a crossbow from bamboo but living in the city, it’s easier to find rubber to make slingshot gun or crossbow. In previous video I used an PVC pipe as limb or prods of my home made mini Chu-Ku-Nu repeating crossbow. In another video, I also showed how I made Homemade pistol crossbow bolts but for the time being, not with broadhead. I like testing whether they are safe to use but not for sale.
In this video I will show how I made a Witcher's Crossbow. In Wticher 3 game, Geralt has a number of crossbow collection, but i like the one I made in this video the best. It would be great if Henry Cavil use it in the Witcher movie too. but so sad to see him leave Witcher movie on Netflix. It's a repeating crossbow with the magazine design inspired by Goerg Sprave 's design as I saw it in his slingshot channel which is working great. I have also made it easy to upgrade the limbs. I build it to last so no hot glue or cardboard is used in this project. Actually it's not a cardboard or plywood crossbow but its stock is made of finger rubber join wood. This is a self cocking repeating sling crossbow with 6 bolt magazine, and although it is smaller this new pistol crossbow has better power-to-size ratio. I saw The ancient Chinese Chu Ku Nu was not originally built for accuracy but for speed shooting but my new sling shotgun or sling bow is built also accuracy though not as powerful as Joerg's bow design of instance Legolas and in my case, only for fun shooting esp vs coke.
I have also watched people make a pistol crossbow opted primarily for an easy to disassemble design with reduced size and weight for better handling and concealability as well as storage with inspiration from the pistol crossbow design from the movie punisher: war zone.

It is a very impressive mechanical bow, but I would like to see it bigger and it would be nicer if you present the larger bows to the audience. It will be watchable, I would be very pleased if you, as a viewer, could measure everything about it.

This is just what I needed! As I am overwhelmed with sertin foul beasts in my shed. This will be perfect, and of course, some elixirs for night vision.

you could probbably attach shotgun style racking mechanism right up front that slides along a channel pushing up the next bolt and helping you reload faster ! might not stay true to the witcher design, butt would look absolutely badass and would also be super functional

And improvement to that would adding dual pulleys system. I think in-universe lore, Gnomes manage to do that. Not to mention dwarves.
You can look at pulley crossbow from Elden Ring for something that look medieval enough.

It's not really a repeating crossbow, though, is it? I mean, this one carries bolts inside it, rather than in an external pouch, so it's a start, but you still have to re-tension the x-bow for each shot. It's not really a repeating x-bow until it has a mechanism that automatically re-tensions the x-bow after each shot, so that all you need to do is to keep pulling the trigger until the magazine of bolts is empty.
The witcher crossbow isn't really a repeating one, either, though there IS a perk you can take, which allows you to fire a second bolt without reloading/ re-tensioning. The Hobbit movie (Battle of Five Armies) has a MUCH better example of a repeating crossbow, when the Dwarves are riding together on the goat-drawn war-cart. It has a magazine of bolts and the strings are automatically re-tensioned by the repeated cycling of a handle. You can get a good look at it in the clip below (camera focuses in on its action at about 4 minutes and ten seconds into the clip):

Thanks brother for sharing your opinion. I don't know the real meaning of a repeating crossbow. I call it so simply because i need to reload 6 bolts only once instead of reloading each bolt every time I need to shoot each one like a normal crossbow. I haven't use it to kill any animal, but with that much power, I think it ll kill small animals.
