All these hardships and suffering made JJ and his men take over. At this stage, the system was nearly collapsing so something drastic had to be done in order to check the system. This was why the angry soldiers had to result to that. I was like 12 years old then. The soldiers put the fear of the lord in the ' kalabule' women so as to check the system. The kalabule women that is those who were hoarding the commodities and selling them at cut throat prices so as to cause high inflation and instability were the ones who got punished. Of course sometimes a few innocent women will be involved just like how some innocent civilians and soldiers paid a hard price. But such is life!
