- A Hollywood star who loves his hunting and shooting: Vinnie Jones takes his mates to the home of East Anglian bird shooting, Six Mile Bottom. They are on a simulated game day, shooting clay pigeons that fly at them like real pheasants and partridges. They also shoot clay targets including running rabbits, grouse and duck.

Went to my primary school, tried to set fire to the school, was beaten with a slipper by the headmaster.
Used to come back to visit the school every summer fair. (when the headmaster was still alive and running the place, he was obviously extremely thankful to the man) Top bloke, hasn't forgotten where he has come from. Was always a pleasure to meet him when I was a child.
I tried clay pigeon shooting last year, was really buzzing and excited. But sadly!! the venue was not at all helpful. After around half dozen cartridges, my shoulder was black and in agony. So maybe this year I’ll try again, but with professional help. SO don’t go in blind as I did, do your homework. Enjoy, stay safe.
worst thing you could have done Lisa . Get a pro instructor to set you up one who is experienced in teaching youngsters and girls/women. I am the head instructor at Headley gun club and all the other instructors are briefed on this situation. At the school on a typical day we may get through 5/6 or more girls and not one ever goes home with a bruise or lumps and bumps in fact we pride ourselves on that they all go home with a grin on their face . We start them usually with a short stocked 20bore with maybe a comb raiser using 21gram cartridges but this all depends on the pupils stature no one should EVER get banged about when learning to shoot its counter productive . if you got knock about that's the "instructors" fault not yours give the club a ring and book yourself in for a proper lesson with no lumps and bumps. you will also hit plenty of clays guaranteed
