Understated and brilliant, Mr Minner played this perfectly. One of the best performances I’ve ever heard on UA-cam, musical taste in abundance ! Love this version.
Agree! This actually sounds a LOT like my Waterloo WL-S deluxe. Which makes sense since it was built by Collings. I think they figured out to add the warmth that is in some of those Waterloos to their main line guitars with the HC series. I'm liking the results.
The Hill Country models are fairly new--haven't seen a lot of them in circulation yet, but dealers typically set pricing. The Collings insta page typically boosts posts from dealers as they receive new instruments... those dealers will often have other guitars in inventory. Might be a good start as you search. Best of luck to find the one that speaks to you!
@@markruby1147 Collings sets prices on their guitars and dictates the max discount a dealer can offer. Dealers are not allowed to publish a discounted price. This OM is going to be pricey ... I'm guessing $8k
Thank you! They come standard with D'Addario phosphor bronze (12s on OMs and 13s on dreadnoughts), but some players prefer the nickel bronze version on certain models.
@@CollingsGuitars thank you, I've been using the nickel bronze on my OM2HT, they are great. these HC guitars are so clean/clear and sound fabulous with the mic.

Bob's such a tasteful player!
These guitars sound and look so good.
Fabulous! Played with grace and style.
Player and guitar sound great. Thanks!
I've owned an OM2H since the mid-1990s. Love it to death. Nice to see one in sunburst. Looks killer.
Love the namelsss headstock.
Played with true emotion! Beautiful
HOT.
Really nice way to feature this instrument, with a slower waltz. Love Bob's picking!
Wow, that was pretty. Thank you for sharing it!
That just made my day.
Now I wanna learn that song!
Brilliant!
Hiding my credit card right now! Beautiful instrument and amazing playing by Mr Minner!
Love it
Great playing. Typically not a Collings fan but this sound is nice and warm and broke in and not the typical bright and tight sounding Collings
Agree!

The bright and tight sound gets warmer with time but I've never heard a NEW Collings sounding this dry and warm.
Sounds so good.
Bob could make a Johnson sing
@@555Gear not sure what a Johnson is but I bet!
I can’t seem to find the price to any of The Hill Country models. I like the Orchestra Models in Sunburst. Can anyone please advise?

What strings are used on the HC? This tone is incredible..

Wait, no flubbs..
9k….
good price
Collings are Great guitars, but it's making Martin look like an absolute bargain. It's sad how wide the divide is getting, housing, cars, and guitars.
and martin is better by far
