Beautiful Vostok and thank you for sharing this tip... I've spent a considerable amount of time and effort turning the crown lots & lots of times to set the date ☹️... have a great weekend Jonah 👍🙌
Just noticed that as you hear that sound, you can also see the date jumping back while rewinding. Try rewinding, you will see the date number going up (back in time) and reset to its position past this special position (starting at 02:26, you can see this date going up and resetting).
Vostok was my second watch, and I ended up getting a small collection of them because they're cheap enough to collect and even the basic styles like the 060007 look incredible. The date window is inconvenient though, I need more without the date complication.
This is actually the way the manual tells you to do it. So it's not that much of a trick. But I can see how someone buying a mechanical contraption and not reading the manual could miss it
Have you had issues with this Hack before on Amphibia? I used the Hack the first time I used it, at the end of the month ofc, by about the half way through the cycle (mid month) of going through all the date changes using the hack, my date function completely jammed. Wonder if this is a common problem with these watches? I had it sent back and they repaired the watch, but I sold it once it was repaired.
Hey Brother, hope you are doing well and good. Is this amphibia have automatic winding ? I am thinking about this watch or the vostok amphibia red sea watch. I want your opinion on this, because the red sea is about $230 to $250. Whether this amount does do justice for the vostok brand ? Btw I am from India, and here we also have to pay custom duty to the imported watch.
Yes the Vostoks are automatic and also have hand winding. I would recommend a budget of $100 USD for your first Vostok. My Komandirskie was less than $100 and overall I like it more than this one. If you are spending over $200, I would recommend a different brand.
dude thank you just brought myself a vostok dang if i knew abt this i won't buy 1 with a date window
Thanks a lot for video. I'm almost drive crazy to find the way to move forward date on my new watch. Thanks again.
That dial is gorgeous! Cool tip on date setting…but it is still inconvenient!

Agreed on the date. My favorite is my no-date Komandirskie
thank you so much. i'm from Viet Nam
Thanks I read it in the manual but couldnt understand
Dang… that thing looks awesome❤ do I need another Vostok
Cool channel- great share of knowledge, best regards!
this is a life saver!
Check with a watch maker first that this won't bugger your movement
That's cool trick, is it safe on the movement, only on Vostok right?
Yes I would only recommend doing it on a Vostok. Luckily, most other watches have a quick-set date

I love to receive great bread 🥖

Interesting. I haven’t used this method enough to be able to have enough data but thank you for the tip
This is not a hack, this is how they recommend doing it in the manual.
Is this particular model automatic or baterry powered ?
Automatic
First here my friend 👍
