Have you considered using the weekly layout strictly for memory keeping? This is what I do.. I schedule everything in my digital calendar because it's more convenient and easy to move around... but once the day is done, I fill out the day's events in the weekly spread. It's less stressful and it's nice to look back at your weeks without going through your digital calendar.

I thought about it, but I also always move around my digital time blocks, so that is reflects the actual spent time, so I would basically copy that.

I, too, struggled to ignore the Cousin's timeline when I used it in 2022, which is why I switched to the Hobonichi Weeks...no timelines! I can still place all high level things down the weekly left column, keep my daily habit tracker, post workouts, chores, appts, etc, without the time constraints. It all there and I can tick them off, add times I did them if I like after the fact, and just see where I'm accomplishing my tasks & goals or where I am avoiding them week to week.

I love the cousin but also struggle with the weekly section - I also rotate this book now too tehe - and create either 2 or 3 landscape columns but keep appointments at the top - and record daily gratitude and any key memories in those landscape columns. Or you could use it as a huge habit tracker if you rotated the book too so that you could track but also write details - which is something I’m going to play around with :) you’re soooo creative and I love your videos!! Hope you’re doing well

You have just the same things in the weekly view as I have :) The pre planning is very hard cause I also have bad headaches and my sleeping routine ain't the same every night... Jibun has clever option for pre planning: transparent sticky notes which are suitable for the columns. And they are also categorised for half hour, an hour or 1.5h appointments. Transparent sticky notes could be the answer :)

I absolutely understand not being able to stick with what was planned at the beginning of the week. I ended up having to use vinyl reusable stickers so that I could adjust my plans. But I love how you were able to repurpose your spread.

Sometimes we have to try different options until we find what work for us 😊 I loved to see the process ❤ your pages are sooo beautiful

Definitely! And then sometimes, the thing that worked for us for a while, suddenly doesn't anymore! We really need to go with the flow - that is something I am trying to learn! ❤

This seems like it will be much more functional for you! Although I love the way your past weeklies turned out even if they weren't super helpful

I loved the other ones as well, but I also feel like this type of layout might work a bit better! ❤

I get this struggle. I also juggle ignoring the times in the cousin with putting in timed events. Sometimes it just looks a bit chaotic and I have to accept it. Yours look beautiful before but if it isn't really working best to try something else. I'm sure you'll get the new style looking beautiful in time.

It is hard for my perfectionism and a bit of OCD to not use a planner as intended and ignore bits of it but I am working on it! Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤️

So why do you waste your time on these weeks if you don't need it?

Well, I actually do need a weekly to schedule my workouts, my chores and all that - that's why I created the one in the video. Actually, to be quite honest with you, my mental struggles did not allow me to not use the planner as it was intended before this video. I am in therapy and making progress, so I felt a bit of courage to try something different and ignore the schedule/hourly line in the weekly. I hope it sticks, but maybe I get weak again and go back to my original spread, even if it is a "waste of time" as you put it 🙂
