Great battle report! I'm working on building a Harad army, so it was nice to see them in action. One thing I would like to see is even just a quick rundown of the models in the army, I found myself on a few occasions saying "wait, there were OsVets in there?" or "how many Watchers of Kârna were there?" Great stuff though, the new set looks awesome, great production value!
@@davidg4970 Pinned comments/description is a great idea actually if Jacob doesn't want to clog up run time with lists, especially if there are viewers that are less bothered about the ins and outs
Will it be season 3 of Conquest Creations "Champions League" in the closest future? Special episode with 20K subscribers could be Battle for Helms Deep or 4 players start each corner with 12" deploy zone and fight to last man. always fun to whatch Minas Tirith and The Serpent Horde :)
Amazing video once again! I enjoy it so so much! May I just suggest showing a brief chart with a model and resource count at the beginning of each turn? That would be a nice addition 😊
Hey Jacob I love the battle reports and all the other content of yours! Quick question: Where is the whip from the Haradrim guy from, I want to make one myself?
love the videos and all the content , my suggestion would be to improve the audio, it can be difficult to follow at times because of sound quality, you guys can try investing in a new mic or even using software like adobe podcast to clean the audio track! Keep rock and rolling!
Awesome! I love these videos! They are fun and I also learn a lot 😊 Congratulations on the almost 20k 👏 Maybe you can make a giveaway of the new terrain, as a celebration for this important milestone 👌
i Would love to see a game where there is mix of mumak and haradrims with easternling on 1000pts against another army :D . Great video and battle report
@@ajcolasante Do you have an instagram or somewhere we could look at close up pictures of the army? I totally want to buy and paint a Serpent Horde army now thanks to you lol
Does Melbourne have a casual and competitive scene which is hosted weekly or frequently? I only just got into the scene but don't know much about community play.
Yeah we have heaps of events, there are several weekly meet ups all around the city as well. Our next event is a 200 point, 8 model minimum games day in House of War in Ringwood on the 6th of April. Feel free to swing by and say hi! Otherwise join the Australian Middle Earth SBG Facebook page to see the full schedule
Can we get a bit more detailed rundowns of the lists and Legions being played, for those of us that are still somewhat new to MESBG and interested to learn more? Like, I'm very unsure what was going on with the Boromir version and the type of Gondor army this is? And what makes this a better version (ie: more competitive) than regular Banneromir and typical Gondor list). And it would be a good opportunity to show off more models.
The version he is using is the fellowship version, which is a yellow alliance with gondor. So you only lose courage +1 to your gondor guys and Boromir loses his Frodo on the table bonus. You'd want to take the fellowship Boromir if you still wanted high might, didn't care about your courage tests and needed high model count. For reference: Fellowship Boromir kitted with horse, shield, and elven cloak is 115 points. Boromir, captain of white tower is 160 points with no upgrades. Also theming is always fun regardless. So that might be a reason you want to take one over the other.
I broke Jacob, killed my target cirion, and kept the betrayer safe (7) vs Jacob breaking me, and securing his objective (4). I think he misspoke at the end.
For the 20,000 subs special - My idea for you is a mass chaos multiplayer battle. In my gaming group we've run a homebrewed free-4-all scenario with success. Deployment is the same as chaos in arda maelstrom, however you could do 12" deployment in 4 corners instead to remove the randomess of maelstrom. The game may end randomly at the end of a turn with the roll of a 1, once half the players have been broken. Add +1 to the roll for each turn that the game does not end. Scoring works like this: 1. At the center of the board you place the Banner of the Conquest Creator (or something to that effect): If a player controls the banner for the entirety of a turn, they gain +1VP at the end of that turn, which accumulates with any other points scored previously from this objective. An infantry model may pick up the banner at the end of it's move, however, due to it's immense size and cumbersome nature, the model holding the banner may only move at half speed. The banner also gives the bearer a -1 to their duel rolls like a normal banner, but crucially does NOT provide a banner effect. Other rules: (1) a model carrying the banner may never pass it off to another model or drop the banner for any reason until that model is killed or flees the battle (2) cavalry models cannot carry the banner (3) a model cannot use it's fly move while holding the banner (4) A model must have arms to carry the banner (5) If another player's model kills the model holding the banner they gain control of it immediately. 2. There are X objectives that work similar to domination objectives. X represents the number of players so each person can place one. They have to be at least 12" from the board edges as well as other objectives, including the central banner. It's 2 VPs for having only your models within 3" and 1 VP if you have the most but, its contested. 3. You get a 1 VP for killing an enemy leader and 1 VP for keeping your leader alive. The VPs are probably not that balanced, but the idea is that this is an objective game with the unique factor of the banner which can help you accumulate VPs that cannot be lost during the battle even if you are wiped from the board. The downside to holding the banner is that it will place a huge target on your back and the banner is difficult to move. You might hold the banner for 5 turns, but have your whole army die in the process and still lose as you didn't score any other VPs. 500 points works well to keep the model count reasonable on the table.
Just started with MESBG, your videos are great for learning and real fun to watch. With Minas Tirith, The Serpent Horde and Isengard armies on the go, good to see two of them clash...
Thinking you'll hit 75k+ this year. The content and visuals have been phenomenal. 20k sub reward of a full set of terrain pieces of the prize winner's choosing would be dope. I dont have a 3D printer and am in the US so would love to get ahold of a set of these. 😅
Great battle report! I think the best games are ones direct from the movies, perhaps you could do a themey Amon hen battle or Helms deep from the original siege of Gondor sourcebook!
Lovely armies and terrain but the sound quality is pretty low still. Hope you are able to resolve that to improve everyone's enjoyment of your excellent content.
Hey mate, definitely misspoke regarding the stabbing a couple times, but did actually mean to stab a few as well! A couple occasions I wanted some Abrakhan guard or serpent riders to get into the lines ASAP so wanted my frontline to die in order to open up a gap.
Hey Matt! There were a couple occasions when I misspoke and definitely didn’t need to ever do a special strike (since I already reroll 1s to wound). There were a couple instances where I stabbed in order to kill myself and open up a gap for something else to fit in for the next turn.
Competitive? Is it a joke? Both players are tremendously incompetent both in roster composition as well as in playstyle and understanding of the rules.
Brilliant comment. It wasn't actually a joke. I would love to get your thoughts on what made us tremendously incompetent. What could we have done to play better? And what rules were played wrong? Keep in mind both Alex and I have played in dozens of tournaments have both podiumed and won multiple tournaments. My army went 4-1 at Australia's biggest tournament and Alex went 3-2 but only lost to Smaug and Tom Bombadil hero combo in killing scenarios.
Hi Jake, in turn 2 or 3 why were you able to move men out of the way before Boromir's Heroic? The taskmaster is certainly a threat. Watching you lose Damrod on the last combat must have hurt quite a bit. 20K is no problem with this content and channel style. Good Luck. Mikey V.
With a heroic march you don't have to move the hero calling it first, just models that move before the hero dont get a movement buff (I believe that they can charge though as they are unaffected by the march conditions).
Great battle report! I'm working on building a Harad army, so it was nice to see them in action.

How about battle of the beards? Khazad dum vs Iron hills

How many dice does Suladan have? 500 rerolling 500? I mean jesus.
