You found excellent bargains at all the thrift and used bkstores. I couldn't see all the titles because you went fast, but could have recommended more tha, The Lincoln Lawyer, and now cannot remember other titles. Also don't know your Reading tastes. Just remembered another The Auschwitz Tatooer. Everyone I know including me, loved it. I wouldn't bother reading " Before Coffee" or something similar. I DNF it and not many people I know liked it. I did read The Bodyguard and liked it, have read other bks. by Catherine Center and enjoyed them. One I have by her and can't wait to read is " Blame It On The Brontes". If I saw you pull out and shove back a Jenny Colgan bk. in the School House by the Sea trilogy; I have whole series, have only read the first, It was good. I like most of her bks., not all. Another good one by her, but old: Bookshop On The Corner". I really likened The Money Hearts Book Club? About the elderly man's daughter comes to visit so he HAS to show her all the lies he has made up about his "great life"? I think that's the one. Thanks. Oh! By the way, I have found some great books in $Tree w/ Target and Books Million on then. Also one I saw in you pile, The Chocolate Castle? GOOD. B& N has become too pricey for me, even though I also get reward coupons. Happy reading!😊

Ahhh I’m so sorry I tried to slow it down the best I could! But i really appreciate you letting me know because i will try for slower the next time around! I just grabbed the Lincoln Lawyer not long ago, so I already have that one! I’m obsessed with the tv series so I’m hesitant to read it but am going to pick it up soon! I also have The Tattooist of Auschwitz on my shelves!🤩 For Jen Colgan, I am really interested in her books but I’m always hesitant to pick them up because I never know if they’re part of a big series or not. I also have The Lonely Hearts Book Club on my shelves! Thank you so much for mentioning these, I have to get to them and this makes me more excited about them!🤩

I was SO shocked I found it! There were also so many people that walked by that shelf before I made my way to where it was.. I got VERY lucky!

For me, I try not to buy it and just get it from my local library first. That way if I hate it, I’m not stuck with it. I also try not to keep any books on my bookshelf that I wouldn’t want to read more than once. Why buy it and keep it if I will never read it again? This helps with limited space.

See this would be my thought and then I see the prices at the thrift store and I’m like “If I read and love it I’ll be so upset I passed on it” but in reality I would save so much from not buying them all! Also, I wanted to ask, how easy do you find it to get new releases at your local library? And can you put a hold on them in advance?

You found some good ones. The prices were excellent! The Judy Blume was a good find. You passed up Iris Johansen and Janet Evanovich both have some great books. Evanovich has the Stephanie plum series, which is hysterical and has some funny stand alones as well. Johansen has the Eve Duncan series and so many others. JD Robb and Nora Robert's (same author) have great stand-alone as well as so many good series. Barbara Delinsky Family Tree is an excellent book. I saw at your last thrift stop. Stay cool happy reading 📚 😊

I really want to read both of those authors, but also feel intimidated since I have so many Joanne Fluke and their series are quite long too! Which of Nora’s are your favorite? There are so many and I never know where I should start. I’ve never heard of Family Tree, I’m going to look into it!🥰 Happy Reading!💕

@dayswiththedoyles I know how that is. I have so many authors and series I follow that it can be overwhelming. Well, maybe when you need a break from those and you want something different, you can see if you find one that sounds interesting and you like. Family Tree was in the last store you visited. I used to have an email book club, and it was a favorite of all the members. Another good author if you like Historical is Kristin Hannah. Happy reading. Stay cool. I'm in CT, and this week and next week, we are having heat wave.

@booklady8888 it can get overwhelming! Especially with cozies… some series can feel so intimidating! But they are on my list to try out because I’ve heard so many great things! And Kristin Hannah is one of my auto buy & all time favorite authors! I have read 5 of her books so far and none of them have been below a 4.5 for me… her writing is just absolutely amazing!!!😍

Yay you got Part of Your World! I really hope you love it! Can't wait to see what you think of the new Ali Hazelwood book. I never go thrifting, we have 1 used bookstore near us and it's really awful. Just like you, I don't need more books anyway! LOL!! Enjoy your new reads!😊

I have a feeling I’m going to love it and the whole series! I can’t wait!🤩 Thrifting can be so dangerous… I’m lucky with the stores we have but I also spend so much more money 😬 thank you!💗

I have to drive to find used bookstores but I’m from Small Town, USA and my town is deeply conservative so our public library is great if you only read Nora Roberts and James Patterson. Not all public libraries are created equal. I thrift so I don’t like to unhaul because if I decide I wanted to read something after unhauling, I’d very likely have to pay closer to full price to get it again. I’m not a person that minds having lots of books nor does it bother me for them to sit on my shelves for years before I decide to pick them up.
I said all that to say, it’s crazy to me how everyone’s book journeys are different.

@whitneywest3538 I agree! It’s a lot of fun to see everyone book and reading journeys! It’s so unique and I love it!🥰
