How to Make DIY Worm Castings
*Materials Needed:*

2. Red Wiggler Worms: These are the best worms for composting. You can purchase them from a garden center or online.
3. **Bedding Material**: shredded newspaper, cardboard, coconut coir, or peat moss.
4. Food Scraps: Vegetable scraps, fruit peels, coffee grounds, and crushed eggshells (avoid meat, dairy, and oily foods).

1. Prepare the Bin: Drill holes in the bottom and sides of your bin for drainage and aeration. Place it in a location that is cool and dark.
2. **Add Bedding**: Fill the bin with 4-6 inches of damp bedding material. This provides a habitat for the worms and helps retain moisture.
3. Introduce the Worms: Add your red wiggler worms to the bedding. They will start to burrow and acclimate to their new environment.
