These storage jars are not for indian weather. We have more humidity in air so food can stale easily. Those jar are not 100% Airtight. We have tried jars similar to this. Nothing can be store for too long. We use Tupperware Airtight container, those work best! No fear of breaking plus Airtight and easy to use. Steel ka Dabba is also good.
So true. Cork lids with silicone washers fail miserably in coastal areas. Tupperware or any similar plastic container has a huge problem - while the containers themselves may outlast you, the lids start tearing with constant use. Once the lids are gone, they lose utility as storage containers. I have two such lidless wonders as dry and wet dustbins at my home. I have found that products that come in glass containers are the best option. Once the product is used up, the containers can be repurposed.
