What a combination of fantastic singing and beautiful music as well as the other way around as well. This is now my most favorite song of my entire life and I'm in my early 60's!
The song's title, “Viva la Vida,” is a Spanish saying that means “long live life” or “live the life”. The song's lyrics deal with themes of power, fame, and the pursuit of success. The song's album cover is a portion of the 1830 painting “Liberty Leading the People” by French artist Eugène Delacroix. The song's name comes from a painting by Frida Kahlo, a 20th-century Mexican artist.

you are like angels singing in this musical sky, singing resounding songs that move people. i am a christian and after listening to this song i feel energetic again thank you for this singing heaven (sincere apologies for my limited English ;-;) :)
Love their music. Angels
It's not really their music though, is it
@@user-zb8tq5pr4x some song they made themselves. Moment of Peace is one of them I believe, no matter. They make good covers and good music in general.
Wow! So nice to see a small parts of beautiful Lviv! "Soli Deo honor et gloria" is on facade of Catholic cathedral. Welcome to Ukraine again!))
It's actually kind of interesting to look at this song through a religious lens, about how no matter how much power you possess it is all meaningless in the end before god
based pfp
Whenever I listen to the Gregorian chants or music I feel like a warrior getting ready to head to battle. 😊
Beautiful!!! Almost as good as their version of The Sound of Silence they performed in the Cathedral at Santiago de Compestella in Spain.
I’d found this casually! What a wonderful video with beautiful sights of landmarks and old churches, but the voices are truly angelic! Thanks for sharing!
Glad they're back. The 65 who disliked have no soul. Absolutely beautiful and heavenly to hear.
hey i have no soul and i still liked the song
hildegrade777 probably not soulless but a lot of people had problems with the background music. Probably different tonal hearing. A lot of people make comments about sound in video that I don’t notice or like myself.
I always felt it was a Pop music classic, but it is so good that it can be performed in so many ways and still be good. Perform it in Latin at a lower pace and it becomes Gothic almost.
I wonder, when Chris Martin wrote this song if he had any idea that it would become so iconic.
Friends listen Sami Yusuf
Sami Yusuf makes best religions music
Well from what I remember, I think he wrote it while drunk
the song is a legend
@@seancarter7742 actually I wouldn't be surprised if that's the truth or close to it, I think some piece of art requires mind /consciousness to be on some another
I thought this song already gave me chills but this amplifies it. Adore it

What a combination of fantastic singing and beautiful music as well as the other way around as well. This is now my most favorite song of my entire life and I'm in my early 60's!
Absolutely beautiful, pure music. Thank you!
For some reason I read the title as La Vida Loca, so I was expecting a very different song. This one fits a lot better stylistically...
The Greybeards while the Dragonborn is out shouting in Skyrim:

Viva la Vida
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning, I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead, long live the king
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never, never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Calvary choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Calvary choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
This version has changed to “I know St. Peter will call my name”
Love this beautiful rendition!
Thank you.

When you survive the bubonic plague:
this guy needs more likes
I wonder... Was the Bubonic Plague just a fact of life, like the weather or a recurring natural disaster? Or did it feel like the world was ending, like the whole of humanity was on the verge of being wiped out...

I can't stop listening to this. The resonance draws me, the stylized visuals entrance me. I've never been a groupie, buy I like this so much I want to know more about these men. That's weird for me. But I can't stop.
File this under 'things I never knew I needed'
Belli e bravi !!!....in versione monastica Gregorianes ottima interpretazione, e pure un bel coro !!!
The cinematography is on point.
Belissimo em estilo gregoriano, enlevo espiritual!!Parabens !!!
The sound is breathtaking- the combination of amazing voices in the breath taking artistic structures- this soul soothing sound cannot be made any other way! And the amazing beautiful visuals - WOW!😍❤️🤩💕🌞🌹🌻🌿💖🌷
They are Real Musicians... I am in Awe.
this sounds like a ballad that a king one sang to lament, now sang by future generations in choirs.
it is. it's a retelling of the French revolution and the death of King Louis XVI.
@@Arylwren1 It is! And it is exactly dedicated to him, although in the Gregorian version it reminds me a lot of his predecessor Louis IX, who died in a crusade and it is canon that he liked Gregorian music. The only difference regarding the lyrics is that he did try to be honest. Although it all ended because of the mistakes of the crusade 😢
Meu Deus, que maravilha de canção! Chego a ficar arrepiada!
THIS IS SUBLIME !!!
A REAL DIVINE LEVEL EXPERIENCE FOR THE SPIRIT AND SOUL ABSOLUTELY !!!
DIVIINE HARMONY , BEAUTY AND PERFECTION !!!

The chorus hits so hard it sends shivers down my spine
