been on a SYFY WIRE binge today. thanks for these! [started with the Image Comics story; a friend sent it to me]. All the best for the new year.
Bendis right out of the gate with DC is tasked with Action Comics #1000 with Jim Lee doing the illustrations. That is some definite reverence.

This is exactly what I was thinking
I think Superman was doomed to suffer in that way. Having a quiet family life is something is not something he was destined to have. It's like some tragic hero in an ancient epic.
He is good at writing Street level heroes like Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke cage but whenever he writes a big character like Superman or Avengers he fails.

That's what I love that he created new characters . Instead of changing already existing ones.

great? what? he's a young spidey but black. he hasn't done anything ground breaking in the five yrs since he was created. not to mention the fact that his comic isn't selling. or should i say WASN'T because it got cancelled.

Lost Age Comics It's always been terrible. DC seems to think he's a popular character. Just give Mr. Terrific or that John Stewart push. They have a true fanbase.
I would rather see him work on Batwing. The character's combination of tech and mystical skills display a potential dichotomy that you can't find in most places.

Being black means a lot to black people. As for whites I heard it's not about the color it's how they are pushed. You are right it shouldn't matter. I feel it's time to move away from the old characters and bring in new but do it right. Should be natural and should reflect the population.

why can't we have both, whats wrong with the old characters? im all for diverse characters if they are original, and fresh, why replace the old ones we all love when we could have both. thats what i don't understand.
Being black to me means more than it ever could to Bendis. Yet he tried to replace my favorite Character Spiderman with a cheap knock off and I'm meant to like him cause he's black? You got a lot to learn about people mate. It doesn't matter the readers are White, Black, or other we just want good stories with likeable characters. Making an established character black is not progressive or creative. It's lazy. I don't need a black Spiderman to relate to Peter Parker. He's all of us. The everyday man struggling. Miles is nothing compared to him.
