  • In this episode we hit the road and rough it in the Disco for the weekend in the hunt for some bars of silver.
We meet up with ‪@SlippyLimpets‬ whose knowledge proves invaluable and certainly gets us amongst the fish! Rain and wind make conditions challenging at times, but persistence pays and we're rewarded with an excellent stamp of prime bass!
Sit back and enjoy and as always, thanks for watching!

I have mate. Mixed views on them to be honest. They catch fish no doubt, but the quality difference is noticeable. Then again, thats why they’re half the price! Thanks very much for watching and tight lines 🙋‍♂️👍

Great video again mate, do you ever find the braid to Knot / ball up casting, it's happened to me a few times lately and it wasn't into the wind. Can it happen if casting too aggressively? It was spooled under a bit of tension so not sure why it's happening?

Hi David, thanks a lot. 2 questions: what kind of knot are you using and how long is your leader?
Might sound obvious but are you casting with the knot outside of your tip ring so it doesn’t have to go through the rings during the cast? Not really a problem if you’re using an FG knot of course.
      Cheers

@@fullcircleangling Thanks for the reply, using a Uni knot, 30lb braid to 15lb flouro. Knot is on the reel about 2-3 turns.
When casting the joining knot seems to go through fine but the after a few yards the braid balls up on some casts. I think its the casts I'm trying to get more distance

A lot of the bloody dorsals are braid scrapes. Good to see fish from there, it's had a helluva pounding from the netters the last few years.

Some lovely fish there Dave, well done. I was over the east side of Luce bay for the week 3 weeks ago, and there were hundreds of small sandeel in amongst the weed being chased by the Bass.

Some nice fishing there. The water clarity didn’t look all that great either (same here!) which I’m guessing was from the rain, so you did more than alright given the conditions.
    Cheers
