I advise you not to replace the original speakers, especially the rear ones, due to their proximity to the hicas computer. When you raise the speakers to the highest volume, it will cause vibrations in the hicas computer, and then the back frame will warp for no reason. Currently I am suffering from this problem
Good advice, the speakers I recommend are not very powerful and the magnet does not reach future down than the OEM one so that is not the case here, but I can see if you have some powerful speakers in the back.
Hi guys. Thanks for the video. Always enjoy watching the dismantling and reassembling of things on your cars. Take care and Max we will be looking forward to your next year stay. Enjoy school. To the D/E team👍🏎🚲🏊🏽
2:15 rear parcel shelf has 2 clips about 3 inches from the corners of the grilles towards the center. You can see the left yellow clip in the next shot. It also has multiple springy clips at the far back along the rear windshield area. Technique I used was 1 hand to bend the left side a bit and then other hand underneath the left middle of the shelf to try to get the clip off and repeat on the other side. One stayed while the other broke.
Just finished this. For some reason the passenger rear side plastic mount doesn't sit flush so I had to throw some bubble wrap on one side to stop it from rattling. Thanks to my crappy deck (Atoto A6) I don't feel a big difference versus oem but I'll have to see how it feels when driving when its warmer.
@@DriversTherapy I wish, the unit is a few years old and lacking some important features like the one you mentioned haha. I'll upgrade someday but for now at least it won't crackle like the oem rears did
Hi! The factory speaker sizes were as follows: R32 - 4x6" front, 6.5" rear (Plate in front doors will see a 6" in there) R33 - 6.5" front/rear - mounting depth is approximately 57mm (as measured by me!) So, the front speakers are smaller. But if you go to Crutchfield, you can use a 1991 Nissan 240sx to look for speakers, they seem to be the same size. Double check but I think they are: www.crutchfield.com/g_400/All-Car-Speakers.html?tp=105&fa=1#&avf=Y&l=C

@@DriversTherapyyou’re very welcome and thank you for the great and helpful content!
@@baki129😎 you rock!
Happen to know the part number on the wiring harness adapter you purchased? Skyline isn't an option on the drop downs at crutchfield.
responded to your IG message.
Those speakers must sound super good in the GTR
David Clamor says he can do a 12 minute 2 mile run
So useful! Thank you so much!
Thanks! I appreciate it. 😎
What part number are the connectors? AND ...Thanks man!!!! Doing this this weekend and needed to know the best way. I appreciate you
Those are the connectors that crutchfield gives you for free when you buy the speakers from them.
Do the adapters come with the speakers or do you have a link for the adapter cords?
No, get the one for a 1995 Nissan 240sx
@@DriversTherapy thank you

Nice! Make sure to adjust your radio’s equalizer settings. If you add some bass or increase the settings, you will hear the difference.

Do you know if those will fit the r32? Planning on doing speaker upgrades for mine soon.

Thank you, really means a lot man.
Do you have a part number for the connector adapters? I can't find them on the crutchfield website.
Yes, you have to put "1995 Nissan 240sx" in the drop down and use those.
@@DriversTherapy front and rear speakers and connectors are the same correct? Thanks again!
Do you get any bass from the setup?
@@zboost300 no major bass. If you want to add a small sub and amp that could help a lot.
whats the part number for the wiring harness adapter?
Put in 1995 Nissan 240SX. That is the same harness. It is what I did.
Great stuff thanks!
Glad it helped!

thanks bro 🤜🤛
Welcome 👍
Where can I find the wire adapter?
Crutchfield.com
Looks like the harness is called metra 72-9300 on that site. Says it fits 94 240sx as long as the connectors are the same on the skyline.
