I have a question, how would i, if at all possible, play live audio through the live feed display while looking at the four camera view? Currently i can only play audio live while looking at the camera one full view
if you press one click on the selected camera view you should be able to hear the audio

In dahua any camera supports Audio can work just follow the steps in the video
If you are willing to connect external MIC to the XVR Audio just make sure that the mic is designed for cctv use it will ease the work for you because it will comes with RCA connection

Yes ofcourse just after you finish the wiring of the audio in with Mic.. All yoy have to do is to go

Encode
Main stream of the first channel
More
Enable Audio
Make sure you select Local
Then apply thr changes
You should hear audio from the first channel when you open it

Sub stream will not be recorded as default but you nees to enable it to listen on mobile app and when you press on the live channel on local XVR while in multichannel mode

Just choose from the encode》more》local instead of HDCVI where local means the input of the local XVR audio input.
But if the camera has the audio input port then select HDCVI

My HDCVI is 4channel I saw two extra jack for audio Nd speaker maybe this version no is v1.1.0 ,
