Oggi 28/06/2022 ho riascoltato l'intero Scenes from the second storey dopo tanto tempo. E dopo ben 29 anni sono stato assalito da una ondata di emozioni talmente forti, e non mi vergogno a dirlo, ho pianto come un bambino!! Grandi God Machine!!

I saw them at Phoenix, I didn't know about them before but heard them playing as we came into the arena, and was drawn towards the front by what I can only describe as one of the most incredible sounds I had ever heard... I have loved this band ever since

Laying on the carpet, playing it again and again and again. And yeah, it did feel like I only knew this awesome music back then in my shitty little town
I found this gem by accident. We were hanging out in Blackburn, England and went into a record shop. He saw us all with leather jackets and long hair and said "I have something for you" and played "Dream Machine". So I bought it for £14 and we took it home. We played it for days in a row. I've listened to it so much, I actually banned myself because it depresses me so hard sometimes. Same with the second album and pretty much all Sophia records. If you haven't heard Sophia btw, check them out.
@@tehf00n everyone has a band that sort of represents them. Mine is most likely the God Machine, because I was in that right state at the right time. I cannot name another band that gave me that connection, not even Sophia, although I saw their sets a lot of times in and out of London. Nowadays the GM live concerts are being uploaded on UA-cam and it makes my brain can't say it in a better way

This came up on my iPod yesterday at work....On random play....nice one out of over 12,000 songs.....Ended up playing a cassette in my Beetle today on the commute.....Great band !!!!
Bought this when it came out in 1993, played it for a fair while then stopped, then for some reason, after certainly 20 plus years, pulled the record out again last night. It's in tense.
Still holds up after all these years. Still think I prefer it on vinyl with the ghostly crackles but I've listened to it so much now, I can play the album, sing it and pretty much have to ban myself from it because I get into it too much.
@@tehf00n , ya, mine has good bit of surface noise too after all these years and it hardly interferes neither, but certainly lends it some character, such a terrific record that is consistent all the way through which is not bad given its a double.

I had a vinyl copy and I let a friend borrow it but he liked it so much he never returned it. I never tried to get it back. Music like this should be shared.
if anyone should be allowed to do it I think Tool is a good option. Mostly because they care about music unlike most of the emo trash floating around the hair salons these days
