Thank you so much for beautifully and clearly demonstrating how to create Wigilia! It is so helpful. My Polish grandmother passed down this meaningful tradition to my mom, who passed it on to us, and I am so proud to have raised our daughters the same way. My mom was an amazing cook and baker who loved her Polish food, pastries, music and dancing. Her nut/poppyseed rolls were divine! I love your video, recipes, and that pierogi-maker! I will share it with my daughters. But most of all I so appreciate you, your work, and your inspiring passion and pride for our culture. God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much for this! as a person born in Canada with grandparents from Galicia, we lost many of the traditions, and I appreciate the time you took to share your knowledge about Wigilia.

Thank you for posting your video! I can't wait for Wigilia, it's my favorite holiday of the year. My Mama always made it very special and it's a wonderful way to honor the birth of Jesus and also carry on the traditions of our ancestors.

Very nicely done Andy! Susan and I watched this together and it prompted some memories from her childhood and a renewed interest in preserving the Polish customs she grew up with! Nice editing Ashley Czarnota! Kudos to the co-hosts Irenka and Agnieszka who did a great job of explanation and presentation!

My grandmother fried her polish food in lard as it wouldn't burn.....also is it not traditional to have Karp?

    • @poziomkax5985

Wigilia was always vegeterian supper as its Eve before Christmas. You must have got it wrong...lard is pig's fat.
Before the war all different fish was eaten in Poland.
Communist after 1945 made everyone to eat carp killing the tradition of different fish... eating.

Watch (Polish Your Kitchen) on UA-cam and you will see real good Polish cooking. My Mom was an excellent Polish cook, so I know the difference. All the fancy Polish plates and bowls couldn't make me eat what you prepared. Your pierogi dough was way to thick!
