TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT. 1) Find two different types of trees truncks of about same size but with different wood colour. 2) Cut them at the same location but diagonally at 45 degrees. 3) Switch the bottom half of the tree trunks and make plans to glue the different halves of different trees together. Of course, you will have to send the joining surfaces, but also, you will have to put some wooden nails that will join both pieces of wood in order to keep the two halves together during turning. 4) Use the glued tree trunk to create a big vase. The challenge is not to hit the wooden nails. The good thing about this is that you have two tree trunk to make two vases.
