Love the flowers. I’m completely new the Xtool M1. Is there a reason you didn’t put the felt/fabric on the pink mat similar to the Cricut mat to protect the base plate of the xtool?
If you're using the laser, it would burn through the pink mat as well as the felt. The M1 comes with a knife blade too which you could use the same way as the Cricut but it looks like the laser cutting worked very nicely
@@minietchers yeah I was wondering if I could use the pink mat but with the blade for cutting felt. I wouldn’t ever use either of the mats with the laser.
I'm new to xTool I have a D1 Pro. Are you using some kind of pad under the fabric? I have a honeycomb thing and want to cut fabric but not sure that will work. In your video also after you put down your fabric and are getting ready to cut how are you seeing the actual placement of the fabric and moving your image to the spot you want to cut. Sorry if this is sooo basic!
Hi! With the D1 you’re unable to preview on the screen where you’re placing items. You have a “framing” button. The head of your laser will move in a box formation where you’re going to cut.
it can but I would suggest getting the new upgraded machine: www.xtool.com/products/xtool-m1-ultra-the-worlds-first-4-in-1-craft-machine?ref=AshleeYFalco&
I just found out that my xtool D1 Pro will not cut the felt if it is WHITE in color.....I have to do it at 90 , and 7 speed and do 4 passes! And even then, it is singed in spots, and not even cut all the way through. Very annoying. Only does dark colors. Has anyone else had this problem??
Wow! You just blew my mind with your quick way create a cut image using the offset. I never would have thought of that. Genius!
You know how long it took me to figure out that’s the easiest way to do it 😂🫣😂
PERFECT! I tried, it's great, thank you so much!
yay! Glad you had good results!

You totally could, but the blade in the m1 (just like the Cricut) doesn’t cut felt crispy like how I’d want it.

I can't get my digital knife cutter to cut cloth or felt either. The blade drags and moves the fabric. I love my Xtool too :). My new favorite cutter.
Yes! This was my exact problem UGH .. but doing the laser portion really made some great clean cuts

You say xTool but not what model. Finally figured out you must have the M1. I have the D1 20W so going to give this a try.
Sorry, I always forget there's different models that xtool offers. apologies.
Can it cut denim too? I’m looking to buy one to cut fabric for appliqué

Yes - because the D1 is a diode laser it won't be able to cut through white, same theory as not being able to cut all acrylic colors. :( sorry!
What happens if you cover it with a colored paper?
