Matt's voice is nice. It's great that NZ has such a show to promote our young talents. But where is all mentoring and developing of these idols after they are winners? It is ashamed that none of the winners to date has enduring career in the industry. Simply the industry as a whole really has no real raw talents/mentors in NZ... We Need more Keri Te Kanawa...Bottomline, it is just all for tv rating. TVNZ is the biggest winner.

Hi bro....Last I saw and heard from Matt was when he was playing with my nephews on the Gold Coast. Matt struggled with meth and went in a big down hill slide. He never really recovered from the disappointment of Idol NZ. Let's just say NZ Idol broke their promise and they didn't fulfill their part of the deal. We all tried to help but Matt was in self destruction mode. I hope and pray that he has come through his battle. No one knows of his where abouts now. This is Matt at his best with my nephews.
