I would say that the second half of the verse is more important that the first part. It is repeated in Galatians 3:7-8 "Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” This blessing of salvation would come through the "Seed" who is Christ - Galatians 3:16. In Christ there is no more distinction of J ew and Gentile - Galatians 3:7, 26-29. So you see, Is/ra/el is not the people of God under the new covenant. Believers in Jesus are, regardless of ethnicity.

If someone is making $20,000 a year they have to pay 6.2% and just Social security, and the employer pays 6.2%. But if someone just making $500,000 a year they only have to pay 6.2% on the first $168,000 that they make, this does not seem fair. That’s a lot of money for lower income people to be paying out into Social Security. There is something really wrong with how this is structured. If someone is self-employed they must pay the full 12.4%. That does seem fair. But if someone is making $1 million a year they should have to pay 12.4% to Social Security on their full income. The wealthy need to pay a much higher rate and they need to make payments on their full income
I'm very ashamed of Congress for having time to pass a bill to give money to Israel but no time to close the borders or deal with domestic issues. .
