Can I ask why didn't you buy innovative stocks individually (rather than ETFs)?
@@DoJoe. Basically, the ETF itself is safer than buying Innovative stocks or any stock individually. You could buy stocks individually and get more capital gains. But on the other hand, it can cause a lot of loss....after years of SPYG... I got interested in genomics and I found ARKG...so I researched about ARK INVEST...Cathie and her team made remarkable progress over the 5 years and they are showing remarkable performance... Despite Tesla's heavy share, ARK rose when Tesla's stock fell. ARK's expense ratio is higher than ordinary ETFs but ARK is stronger than other ETFs, especially when it's pendemic...and I have pretty strong feelings about Cathie and ARK team. By the way, I bought 'a' share of Tesla yesterday just for fun.

@@joonbeomcho thanks for sharing and there is no doubt Ark's ETFs are great if you are looking at growth and honestly that's what I'm looking for as well. But what's holding me back is the uncertainty of the future of Ark itself. And this is really about any group running an Etf that's only been around for a short while compared to someone like Blackrock, Vanguard etc. I don't know where the mgmt and team of Ark will be in 10-15 years. So I was thinking maybe I should just invest in some of the innovative stocks individually and create my own "Etf". Would love to hear your thoughts

In my opinion...The disruptive innovation Cathie is talking about will no longer be innovation in the near future...because it will soon become our everyday things like iphone(smart phone), PC and so on...they will be like the companies in current S&P 500. Cathie is quite penetrating how the world will change. Cathie and ARK team will continue to discover new innovative companies for ARK portfolio. There is certainly a limit to individuals' steady search for new innovative companies. Innovation will create more wealth. If you make a profit of about 40 percent every year, it's a respectable figure...plus it's even safer than investing individually. I think it would be nice to invest most of the money in ARKK and ARKW and a little in the company you are interested in. It's getting harder and harder to catch up once you miss a chance. The last thing I want to say is enjoy your time instead of spending too much time on investment research. Let the money work for you! Let them work for you!
One of the problems with youtube is its constant recommendation of poor quality and poorly researched videos especially in the financial space. Its so refreshing and rare to find creators that make informed and thoughtful content like this video. Please continue to make these weekly updates, they definitely fill a void on the platform.

I watch tons of financial videos every week. Its been a while since the last time I watched a 30 minute video jam packed with so much useful information. Just bought some ARKQ this week, I love their vision.
Wow! This retail investor is tiptoeing back into the market.
I bought a handful of Tesla stocks when they were hovering at $400 each.
That led me to this wonderful woman & ARK. She sees what the Old Guard doesn't see. I see it also, I live in the shadow of the Silicon Valley. I overhear the conversations at my J.O.B. working with wealthy public and occasionally I ask for tips, when appropriate.
I think I'll do some individual stop picking from ARK's choices as well as buy some of ARK's. ETF's.

ARKK is available on the Plus500 platform.
And probably on some others too.
Just use firstrade...
You can buy them with SwissQuote in Europe, also if not living in Switzerland. Problem is the MIFID II regulations that ARK is not conforming to so far. But these don't apply in Switzerland so you can trade ARK there!

All those plans are supply side. Consumers buying stuff is what drives the need for capex, regardless of whether capex is cheaper.
TSLA and SQ are my two biggest holdings. I didn’t know they were Cathie’s until a few weeks ago. We both also own Z. Great minds think alike.
Georgia published their virus data with the days the wrong way round. What looked like a downward trend in virus cases was in fact an upward trend! I hope they can handle it well, but it doesn't fill one with much confidence.

It would be cool if ARK just made one big etf of all there top 10-20 holdings from each etf. I feel that it could compete against the s&p 500, nasdaq, and Dow. Which each etf has already been out performing them over the past 6 years.

Cathie, I love the way you explain the news of whats happening in the economy. But I think something you should improve would be if you get a better equipment for your videos.
People in the comments crack me up with their familiarity of Payroll Tax Holidays and Capital Gains Tax Holidays. Payroll Tax puts a little extra money in people's pockets every paycheck instead of a stimulus and same goes for CG holiday. Everyone is eligible and it would keep our market up and psychologically cause more people to spend.
Payroll tax holiday is extremely anti-progressive. The majority of the benefits will go to heavily taxed people...the rich. People who pay no tax get no benefit.

8:50 autonomous truck platoons are not going to disrupt rail within 5 years.
It blows my mind that these videos are getting less than 100K views. Anyone watching these videos now, should be well equipped to capitalize on the distribution that is inevitably going to take place.
It's been "proven not to be the case" that it will take 12-18 months to have a vaccine and the ability to ramp up manufacturing? There are promising data from MDNA and others but nothing has been proven, Ms. Wood. There are 100+ vaccines in development because we simply don't know which ones are going to work / work best.
What about how much health risk there are/will be from 5g which autonomous vehicles depend on?
