Thanks for this Keith. That paracord drives me nuts. "Mushy" is definitely the right word to describe it. I'm gonna attempt this on my SG 130 this weekend!

I like the video! Question, at 3:02 whats the neoprene sock on your paddle called? Looks like a great lightweight way to keep water off of the paddler.

Great video!! Can you tell me what cart you have and how well does it work with the SG 130?

Thanks, the cart came from amazon, its called TMS CART-CANOE/KAYAK-KY001 Although I have tried others, this one fit the kayak well and work fine, the key is to have it balanced slightly to the rear so the dolly has decent weight on it and requires some nose lifting by you but not to much. I just used it to get from my car to the launch so it was great for that, I never strapped it to the kayak. Mostly I liked how I could take it with me on the kayak and didnt have to run it back to my car, I have a video showing how I mounted it.

I have this same cart. My is made by a company called Malone. I picked it up at Cabelas. I see that your question was 1 yr ago, so you may already have one. 👍👍

If it did slip inside the kayak casing...is there a way to get the cable out the hole?

coming from a cyclist. if you ever want to get rid of that wire play if its even a problem at all. (sounds like it aint) you should look into some bicycle cable pullers. They're made to tension your cables for for proper gearing actuation.

I cant picture what your talking about, sounds like a great idea. Can you give me more info on them...such as where to get them and what there called?

@@keithmoore408 ua-cam.com/video/YwgqE6uBeCI/v-deo.html here's a link on how to use this particular tool. they're called fourth hand cable pullers. since your cables are internally routed you can use the puller right where the cable exits the hull to the rudder.

What size crimpers are those? Amazon has 5.5, 8.5, and 9.5 inches.

Getting ready to do the same upgrade to my sea ghost. How's it holding up thus far?

I loved it didn't have a problem with it but I sold it for a pedal drive I went to a Wilderness radar 135 I had shoulder issues so that'll drive was going to keep me in the water longer but you will regret it I still think the vibe is a steal at the price you get it for

Yeah don't use a cheap crimper or the wire might slip.
