Foster is right and showed Goldbridges naivety when it comes to players leaving the club. Just because the club wants to sell them doesn't mean the players want too go.

I do appreciate Ben's player perspective. The angle that these footballers are make decisions based on what's best for their families vs. what's best for their footballing legacy is interesting.

Gonna miss Ben if he's not on TUS until start of next season. Hopefully some contact with guest appearances incoming. Striker, midfielder and defender analysis similar to Ben's input on GKs would be appreciated. Next season a fight for top4, and anywhere between 4th and 8th possible. All depends on clear out, some players taking the next step (Mainoo, Garnacho and Højlund) and make or break for this season's newcomers (Onana, Mount).
Shaw almost 29 btw, hopefully 3-4 good years in him. I guess 150k a week is not enough for us to sell him (doubt transfer fee of more than 25m), instead use him as a backup for CB and LB. Curious if he can sort out his injuries and illness, just too many games he's missing every year to rely solely on him for starting positions. A shame tho.
I think we can sell most players if we're brutal on them having underperformed and are surplus to requirements. Some insist they can play in systems not comparable to their skillset, just on merit and experience. I like role models and good influence in dressing room, but it is reasonable to want change especially since some of them throwing managers under the bus (Jose, Ole and Ralph). If we can't play the way the manager wants in every game, we gotta stop shoehorning in players - no matter how good they are as individuals.

The club needs a structure so that the "manager" doesn't have to deal with off field issues such as Sancho, Rashford, Antony etc. These things should be the responsibility of the "Sporting Director" or "Director of Football" leaving the manager to coach the team. Alongside the injuries these issues have surely distracted ETH and contributed to the pathetic Premier League display. And the number of injuries is something that must be investigated in forensic detail, this situation cannot be allowed to repeat itself.
ETH does not get people to pass to Hojlund. It wont get better no matter what squad he gets.
We need a decent bench. If we get rid of all these players who's going to sit on it.

Ben is stating the obvious, which most people completely ignore. Clubs cannot force players to leave if they are under contract. The players actually have to agree to leave and have every right to run down their contracts.
