this is a tracker, called renoise. Trackers have been around for 30+ years but renoise is a modern take on them. People into OG producing with hardware still use the old trackers, like octamed...

@@ethanmerrikin1544 Yes, there are people that use it in live recording situations. Personally I don't use it for such, but I know it is done.
