FYI, saw you Locked on Big 12 appearance. Nebraska was AAU when they joined the B1G. It's the Nebraska experience of the B1G accepting handshake agreements on improving academically as to why it's been harder for other schools academically.
I'm sure you heard that OSU, UM, and PSU did not approve of your Ducks joining the conference because of your shaky academics. OSU's new president just gave an interview stating he's adamant that academics won't take a back seat in future conference realignment. So you either go to your grave that presidents vote on realignment, or you're calling him a liar. And no, he was not there when Oregon was approved.
If it's all about numbers, I'll give you two. PSU's total operating budget as a university is $9 billion. The total athletic revenue is just $202 million. This idea that the B1G presidents are going to make 50 year decisions based on 2% of their operating budgets is funny. FSU and Clemson can get into the B1G. They don't get into the B1G solving the 2% but not the 98%. That's why ND, UNC, UVA, and Miami may be of a greater priority.

The SEC and the B1G are indeed too big to fail, as conferences. Individual teams in those leagues still need to sweat the possibility of getting kicked to the curb and replaced with bigger brands, once the inevitable College Football Premier League is formed.

Has anyone seen a Acc media poll?

There's no doubt that they are too big to fail. We just need to remember that they are changing the product. There will be too many matchups that make perfect seasons illusive. That may play out fine in professional sports but finding out how it plays at universities is a very different reality. In addition, creating two power conferences and demoting everyone else can only be described as retraction in the big picture.

Are you now a B1G homer since Oregon is in the B1G? I also sense you are going all in on P2 and “G5ing” the B12 & ACC. What happens in your mind if Oregon and Ohio State have 3 losses at the end of the year? What then? Yea the B1G is too big to fail, especially since they will end up getting bigger.

My point exactly! They are changing the product without considering whether fans will buy it. People are used to the NFL model. But can you generate the same excitement with teams with more losses than before, playing for the national championship in college football? Never forget about things like "New Coke" and other great innovations that floundered.

Idk what a B1G homer is, but are you in denial that B1G/SEC are above the other 2 power leagues?

@@LockedOnCollegeFootball the Big 12 & the ACC are P3 & 4., there’s no denying that. Just remember that your show represents College Football. So if you go to P2 media days and not others (I understand conflicts) then you should work just as hard to cover P3/4 media days. Whether is is sending an assistant or doing more with Drake Toll or Alex Donno. Let’s be real who really gives crap about Illinois football? Want to grow the channel? Think P4 not just P2 when you cover media days.

@@LockedOnCollegeFootballthe gap is not as big as people like to think. Remember when the acc plays the sec in nattys and wins? If the leagues were far apart that could never happen

A 3-loss team in the SEC or B1G will make the playoffs. Look at the standings from last year. The SEC and B1G are going to get 4 teams each in the 12-team playoffs in most years. After the ACC, Big12 and G5 champs are added, one spot will be left for Notre Dame or the second best team in the ACC or Big12.

I sure you meant UWa and not UW. Just like OSU and osu.
