Treasure by the Cocteau Twins is utterly gorgeous, an all-enveloping cloud of crystalline loveliness. Well, I think so anyway. :-) Wishing you joy of it.
You might like the pritt tape glue. It’s refillable, and comes in permanent or not, so if you want to peel something back up you could. Plus I find for small pictures, one cartridge lasts ages.
also idk if you’ve tried it before, but i use the “tombow mono adhesive permanent” to paste photos in my notebooks and it works great ! it’s like a glue tape and is in a correction tape type thing. it’s a bit tricky/finicky to apply, but worth it (i think)
is it refillable? i tried some glue tapes last year but they don’t see to be the easiest to find in the uk and a lot didn’t seem to be refillable, so the waste was enormous. i’ll have a look for it!
We must be on the same wavelength because before I even I saw your new notebooks in your videos, I started getting back into designing my own pocket notebooks (I wish I knew of somewhere where I could I get them professionally done-I bind mine by hand). I really wanted a small notebook I could use for Commonplacing next year that had margins and page numbers. Now i’m really tempted by yours, though. They look SO good! BTW, I was catching up on your vids and saw a Crystal Castles cd in one of them, which was such a throwback for me. Hope you get some cooler weather soon. Thanks for sharing your days with us.
designing your own notebooks really just hits different! i get mine printed as booklets/pamphlets which restricts the number of pages, but im lucky my manufacturer has nice paper. i’ve never been very good at trimming all the pages to be able to bind at home 🥲 crystal castles is a throwback for me too! i couldn’t leave it behind when i saw it. hope things are ok with you ❤️🩹
@@MeganRhiannonoh and btw if u ever feel like changing ur pen to non erasable pen, then I highly highly recommend “Pilot Precise V5 RT”, literally the best pen I’ve ever used and I also have small handwriting and it works so well. It’s gel pen so the ink is very smooth too. I use 0.5. My favorite thing about them is the tip of the pen, they are thin and small. I thought u might like them. 🖋️❤️🩹
The Korn follow the leader CD was one of the very first CDs I bought on my own. Nowadays I'm more of a vinyl girl but it was the start of my physical music collection so it has a special place in my heart.
i’ve gone the opposite direction from vinyl to cd! i just don’t have the room to store so many vinyls at the moment. hence repurchasing a lot of old classics! i haven’t listened to the new hozier yet, some of his music hits for me and some of it doesn’t- waiting until the time feels “right” lol
loved the video, so cool to hear you talk through your journal progress this month. so glad this experiment has worked out well for you and i’m excited for the prospect of trying it out myself sometime soon!
I use stencils to mark the weather icon, and I realized that you could hole-punch a paper to make your own DIY stencil, and then use your favorite mildliner or brush pen to fill in the circle. I just wanted to share even tho it sounds like more effort than sticking with the dot markers 😅🫶🏼
As for glue recs, I've always loved rubber cement. It's archival and things always lay down nice and flat/smooth, nor lift back up. Plus you never have to worry about glue spilling out the sides of whatever your putting down because you can pick up the excess with the rubber grip.
If you can bear 'wet' glue (not sure how to explain it? like PVA) then I can reccomend nuvo - it's super easy to apply since the bottle has a v narrow nozzle, it doesn't wrinkle, and dries quickly but not so quickly you can't move things if you need to. I found out about it from the scrapbooking community when I was working on some collages.
i’ll consider it! i haven’t used wet glue since i was a kid, so i’m not sure how i’ll feel 🫣 but definitely worth a look, thanks for the recommendation!
So excited for everything you’ve been doing in exploring different systems and catering them to your own needs. It was oddly satisfying to watch you open your CDs with your nails, haha. Hope it starts cools down soon! 🍂👻
Cocteau Twins is Top 5 ultimate planning/journalling background music for me :) great albums all around and love the new TN direction. I find it suits me brilliantly for all the same reasons - I'm still tweaking my dream layouts but will be borrowing from yours for sure (just got the digital downloads). Take care and can't wait for more!
Just arrived home and I’m so happy to see a new video up! I’ll be playing it as I make dinner. Really love the cozy vibes, and I’m giddy that the vid length is long 💕
in regards to the crappy glue have you tried glue tape? I've used it a couple of times and can definitely attest to its usefulness. Much cleaner as well
It's interesting, usually people are using 31 pages for their one page a day planners, and you are using them for your commonplace notebook. How does it work-one page a day?🎉❤
it’s just how the pagination worked out, regrettably (64 page booklets). it doesn’t bother me, i hadn’t considered that it might be an issue for others who might want a full page a day 💭
love your videos! this is probably a very random, weird question, but what sort of glue stick is that? (edit: course I commented before you got to it 😅)
I'm begging you do not go back to double-sided tape, it messes up the picture with oil and falls off completely in a few months to a few years, if you're lucky.
i never had any issues (i have notebooks that are 10+ years old, full of tape, still intact) but tbh im not likely to return to it just because of the waste!
Really enjoyed the journal flip through! It would be cool for the end of year flip to see your progression through the notebooks you used.
So excited about the habit trackers, they look perfect! Thank you for sharing and for leafing through your beautiful notebook with us.
thank you! 🙇🏻♀️

i swear by glue tape,, and there are so many new versions (like dots) it’s hard to go wrong

@@MeganRhiannon yep they have refills :)
@@MeganRhiannon they also have it at muji and it's refillable :)
The sound of the retractable frixion pen is music to my ears, truly.
big same
Yes, the crappy glue is great because you could always take the unwanted photo out!😂

The Standard TN is my favorite size. Always was.
Halloween, yes it’s a coming, I’m all booked off. Just me Dracula some Witches, Werewolves and the Gang.

Hey! Thanks for making this video! What pen do you use? I am also jealous of your small handwriting!
Megan what nib size is your Frixion pen? Mine never seems to write as dark as yours. Love your videos, they induce a serious calm for me ❤

Hi! You made this insert yourself? Looks amazing 🤩
love all those korn albums
Is that a weighted blanket on your bed? And if so which one is it and would you recommend it? Xx
We will always support and your endeavors. Keep working hard.
thank you, i really appreciate that 🙇🏻♀️
I’ve always been curious but what brand is your CD player? It’s so pretty
it’s from a uk department store called ‘john lewis’ - it’s their own brand!
love your videos! this is probably a very random, weird question, but what sort of glue stick is that? (edit: course I commented before you got to it 😅)
You could cover the staples with washi tape, so they won't be annoying.
❤ Thank you for sharing! It all looks awesome! 😊
thank you! 🙇🏻♀️
a mall goth at heart
Have you thought about sketching your movies out instead of printing them?😊
i draw for work so i don’t usually want to draw when im working in my notebook (relaxing)
32:55 what kind of bag are you using? 🙈
Your videos are so relaxing ☺️
Could you tell me the name of the pen you use on this video? I would love to try it , looks awesome.
Hi, it looks like a Pilot Frixion to me.
pilot frixion 0.7 mm
Do you mind telling me what cd player it is that you use
What brand is your CD player?? It’s so nice
John Lewis.
Which Joan Didion article do you refer to ?
Pretty sure it's 'On keeping a notebook'
What notebook do u use please?
i made it
I'm begging you do not go back to double-sided tape, it messes up the picture with oil and falls off completely in a few months to a few years, if you're lucky.

Will your little habit trackers be available for digital sale? And will your books ever be available to for the U.S.??🫶
Welcome to the frixion clicker pen group 🫶
love the video ! thanks for posting ❤️🩹❤️🩹 super interesting to see your notebook
