The AI is strong with this one. "Buell" gets every possible pronunciation except the correct one, and "Beauregard" gets badly mauled, as well. The flow of the phrases is generally quite plausible, but the visuals are, as usual, really irritating: few of the generals depicted look like themselves; who ever saw Grant so fat, for starters? The only thing the picture of Beauregard has in common with the general's actual appearance is that both had two eyes, one nose, and one mouth. The same goes for the other pictures of major players. And since when has "thirth" been a word? I appreciate the information about the Corinth campaign, but for the love of God, let's have some quality control! Don't just leave AI to do whatever it does and expect the product to come out at an acceptable level.
In addition to agreeing with lawsonj, the train images were atrocious!!! For goodness sake, who the heck decided to use not only locomotives of the TWENTIETH century!!! But cars/rolling stock of what at best appears to be European if not completely fabricated. On the plus for images… the landscapes, military scenes of personnel, wagons etc, appeared quite good. I built an Ho scale model of the western and Atlantic RR. Those images can be an inspiration for modeling purposes.
It's an interesting story... but the narrative was a bit annoying. There was a constant effort to make every statement into a memorable line filled with unnecessary adjectives and adverbs. This made it difficult to focus on a good story
Revisionist. Halleck was good at many things but he lacked the animating spirit of a warrior. Grant, Thomas, Sheridan, Sherman, and even Meade were his superiors as combat generals.

Corinth, MS must have been an unfriendly place to live.
