- In most wedding scenarios, family plays a big role in the planning process. Young bride Mary is put on the spot to try her mother’s wedding dress before Shannelle’s dress choice. Through this interaction, Shannelle realizes a correlation between the mother and daughter in that they are both inspired by royal brides such as Princess Diana and Kate Middleton. But will Mary end up wearing her mom’s dress instead of buying on from Shannelle? Inez comes for her final fitting literally two days before her wedding. She swoons over her vintage looking dress but is suddenly tempted by Shannelle (as well as her insistent mother and sisters) to add a pricey last minute veil.

The mom was so sweet, she wasn’t trying to force her to wear her dress she really just wanted to see her in it one time. But to the dresses she tried on, the second one was soo pretty! I thought it looked so pretty on her as well. The shape of the dress was perfect for her!
What an absolute gem of a shop owner, she's SO professional and kind. You can tell she runs a very tight ship with exacting standards and the very best experience for all her brides.

I know I loved that she did that for her mom. I also loved that her mom wasn’t trying to push her to wear her dress she just really wanted to see her in it one time.
I thought that it was quite rude and unprofessional that you allow the brides to try on only 3 dresses in an appointment, as the average would be more than 3, so their appointments are too short. I wouldn't go back.
I love the owner of this show, she nice, knowledgeable and treats the pride with respect, plus size isn't a disability.
Autumn Summers It’s nice to see large brides accommodated. Too many shops don’t do that! Wedding gowns are so beautifully constructed that anyone should be able to look great. Love sweetheart necklines on larger gowns

I like this owner, she is respectful and sincere with the expectations of the bride. I liked how she told the first one why it wasn´t able to add more details on the skirt, but suggested something instead. In other shows she woud´ve changed everything for the shake of charging more to the bride, even if it´s not worthy
The mother of the first bride brought tears to my eye, it was lovely to see that special bond between a mother and her daughter. Back in the 80s that was the wedding dress of choice.

This way better then Say Yes to the Dress (both versions). In terms of being plus size it is amazing that there is a dedicated store with only plus size. Yes Kleinfield has plus size dresses but the bride to be is mixed in with straight size women. The owner is so professional and really tries to make sure the bride has the best experience and dress she can.
Agreed!!! As a plus size woman, dress shopping was a nightmare for me because all the sample sizes were like, a size 6 and im a 26
In that case you might want to watch Curvy Bride's Boutique, it's sort of a spinoff say yes to the dress I think but it's only for plus size and the two women who work there are so professional and compassionate towards their brides.

Heather Hendricks I had the opposite experience. The boutique I ended up purchasing my wedding dress from caters to plus sized women which is amazing. All of the sample sizes were too big for me but I loved that curvier women could go in and just feel comfortable and heard. I recommend them to everyone.
@@creativelife9871 i wish i had that experience! I went to *chain wedding dress store that also sells prom dresses* and the person working with me had 4 other brides and I just didn't feel special buying my dress. I actually just bought the first one that half way fit :/

When my older sister got married, my Mom had a "professionally packed"(by a moving company) wedding gown from 1947. When they opened up the box, the dress, when lifted up, literally fell into pieces back into the box! It was like it was 2000 years old instead of 20! Glad that didn't happen for this nice family!

It was tacky for the mother to bring her wedding dress to a dress shop for her daughter to try on. That should have been done at home. She wasted the business owners time.

I totally agree with you but then we wouldn’t had all the drama and there would’ve been a lot of people who wouldn’t have been able to complain.
I guess the show producers wanted her to bring the dress ... don't think it was the mother's idea.

Aww I don't know how in the world I'm seeing vids about this amazing shop.. I absolutely love how attentive the owner is about everything looking so nice and clean... making everything so special. The fact that the owner and the daughter made sure that momma was given that moment of seeing her daughter in her wedding dress was so sweet and kind. And how thankful momma was made me tear up. It was just so cute and sweet.

Last year, I got to see a friend of mine find the best way to avoid wearing her mother's wedding dress/1980's hot air balloon canopy, she said something like "so you want me to wear the dress you wore when you married my deadbeat father, who was a gambling addict and cheated on you so many times, he even lost count. That dress." "That dress" went to a local thrift shop.

Yep, this store/owner needs a show on TLC!! I am so SICK of watching the other shows that when a curvy girl comes in - it's like, "OH MY GAWD, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO PUT HER IN?!?!?" We only have size 12's (which is a size 8 in real life.) These poor girls are coming out in dresses that are bag clipped Galore and just about their entire back side is showing. How in the WORLD can you imagine what it will actually look like on you? You take a chance and spend $$$$ on something that may or may not be what you really wanted. What is supposed to be a dream day leaves one feeling so down on their self esteem and crossing their fingers it will look 'decent.' I live just North of Chicago and will certainly recommend this store to anyone!!! Kudos for acknowledging those that can't be super model skinny and, instead, praising their curves!!
There is already show Curly brides boutique but I think people just love Say yes to the dress more and choose to go there.
There's a difference between "super model skinny" and "extremely overweight. But, the PC thing nowadays is to say, "curvy". "Embracing your curves" shouldn't be about denying that one needs to lose weight and take care of themselves. I don't think anyone should be made to feel embarrassed or humiliated if they are out of shape but, this new thing is making it seem like a goal.
@@LR-vg4et I have to disagree. I don't see it as "a goal". One can be overweight, yet be healthy. A person can be unhealthy and slim. It's not always about weight, it is definitely about taking care of oneself.

Btw, the fat acceptance agenda pushes that crap but, the reality is that fit overweight people is an exception...not the rule. The fit overweight person is rare. How does an overweight person "take care of themselves"?
The comments about women being over weight is sad. Not everyone women has to be a size 2 to be beautiful. We are all human we come in different shades and shapes. It's what make us human .
Shannelle handled that situation with the Mom’s dress so well! She treated everyone with respect, made sure it was coming from a good place, kept it positive, but always made sure it stayed about the bride and what she wanted. I don’t know if I could do that!

Thankfully my mom didn't have any obsession with her wedding dress. She remade it into a skirt for me when I was a kid...
My mom always understood that I would want my own wedding dress, but I attempted to try hers on when I was either in high school or college. She weighed about 90 pounds when she got married so as little as I am there is no way it was going to fit me. It was also not really properly stored so part of it had yellowed. We donated it to the thrift store. I'm now in my mid-forties and barring a miracle I will never need a wedding dress. I still attempt to hold out some hope. My mother passed away years ago but I have hoped that her sister ( who I'm named after) could go wedding dress shopping with me. She never had a daughter and I don't think went shopping with her daughters in law so I would love to take her.
I love the bottom of the first dress but the top of the second dress. She looked good in both dresses though. As for all the hateful comments on her size whether she is curvy or fat it’s her life and she has someone marrying her for herself. Being salty on her size does not change the fact she is a human being deserving of love .
Boy, I found my wedding dress in a Bride's magazine, wrote to find out where it was sold on the west coast, it was less than an hour from my home, ordered it, tried it on when it came, bought it and took it home. My mother didn't even see it until after it was bought and paid for. When my daughter got married her husband was the one to find her dress. He and my daughter picked me up from work and drove me to see it. I cried, my daughter was so lovely in it! My other daughter, not married yet, found her gown and bought it through Groupon a couple of years ago. It needs to be adjusted since she's lost alot of weight, but nothing I cannot do. My own dress and veil? It's to be kept for play time when the grandchildren get bigger.
