I use a capo a lot and it’s a real pain .. I have a epiphone and I have tried 3 different capos trying to get a good fit and it still sounds like crap .. it’s my G,B, E strings that constantly go out of tune with the capo ..
Did this video help you??? Generally don't go too close to the fret, press the capo down on the strings first then let the clap on, Give each string a little pull, Generally that does it for me.
@@clembuckleyguitar yes your video was helpful but I just find that most capos that I’ve used fit my guitar strange in the back .. so even if I place it flush against the strings to start when I let the back of the capo rest against the back of the guitar because it’s not flush it pulls on the bottom strings.. I have bought like 4 different capos already to try for this guitar and they are all similar.. I have to retune and my bottom 3 strings are high
@@clembuckleyguitar You tip of pressing down the strings one fret ahead of the capo, then putting it on, was a life saver in a live situation on Saturday. First time I didn't have any tuning issues! BTW I'm using a G7th capo on a Strat.
I practically never comment on UA-cam videos, but this helped me so much. Thank you!
Amazing, glad to have helped. I'm trying my best to make the ideas simple and easy to understand

@@Mj-bg2uj same here. I just learned all barre chords so I don't have to use capo at all.
Food for thought about doubling guitars to make the song more interesting. Also, really good advice on capo placement, thanks for that!
Glad you enjoyed the video, if you're recording pan the two guitars left and right for a nice spread in the mix :)

Love the G7 capos as its up to you how much pressure you put on the string😊
