Deji, I totally agree with your approach to forging leaderships of institutions like INEC. However, I do have some concerns regarding the potential for individuals from different political parties to abandon their own party's interests and conform to the ruling party's dictates due to bribery and corruption.
This is a valid concern, considering the history of corruption and abuse of power in Nigeria's political landscape. The lack of accountability and the personalization of power can lead to a situation where individuals prioritize their own interests over the greater good.
To mitigate this risk, it's essential to establish robust mechanisms for ensuring the independence and impartiality of these individuals. This could include measures such as transparent appointment processes, clear codes of conduct, and robust accountability mechanisms.
Ultimately, ensuring the unconformity of these individuals requires a fundamental shift in Nigeria's political culture, one that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.
