9:39 Look at this champ Stellar Focus! I overcast Ery's one somehere in early 40-s with about 70 gems, and my team has been telling me that it doesn't make sense to overcast things like that. Yet it is still just chilling there, having evaded all the global wars :)
Illwinter has evaded a lot as well but not as much

    Gath continues to impress.
It was Pan and Erythia making a big, sudden global play against Gath, but it's them that look caught with their pants down. Somehow.
Great diplo play as well. Other nations have been getting into weird diplomatic messes all game, but they just peace out and ally up instantly when the situation changes as well as reach out to TC to offer and provide support.

Can't agree more. Gathian armies' mobility also helps. Gath CONSTANTLY outpositioning his opponents again and again lately.
If he takes that 1 Throne from Erythia he is clearly aiming at, I think, it's OGRE for everyone else in this game. I mean, 2 more Thrones to win + DoD factor is too powerful. So I think Xibalba should backstab Gath once he tales the sixth Throne, EVEN if bats are unprepared for that.
Also, I totally understand why Xibalba wants peace with Gath. Certainly I wouldn't want to fight THAT, at least as the vanguard.

@@golemokrator2920 Oh yeah, I can totally understand Xib's decision. But it's also Gath's success since they clearly kept the lines of communication open enough to allow for that pivot and acted throughout the game in such a way as to have an enemy that knows they have little chance against them become their ally, rather than bitterly oppose them. This is what a good Dominions diplomacy looks like in my opinion.

The only way that I see the Gath doom stacks being beaten at this point is multiple nations doing magic phase gem burns on them right before the big battles like people did to TC before.

About 660 total Shedim/Storm Demons as of this turn, summon rate is about 40 per turn

On the question of how Erytheia might defend itself from the Gath invasion, the fact that Astral Corruption went up this turn is important; Gateway/Fairy Trod/etc. are less appealing options for moving troops if you're caught flat-footed with your troops in a province that doesn't contain both a lab and a mindless Astral mage like a Golem.

One important thing about Xibalban situation is that GoNB actually dispelled Blood Vortex after last turn Nexus dispelled Looming Hell.
So, yeah, with blood eco in shambles he is not in a good position at all.

Regarding the big battle with Erytheia this turn, I've not double-checked the turn files, but the Charm was definitely planned; we were considering a requirement for any army to be at least one N2 with Thistle Mace/Rune Smasher/Eye of the Void kits on advance and cast with the specific goal of countering Tartarians, to the extent we had the gear available.
There's a range of different strategies for dealing with them in the late game, but like "Casting Antimagic" and "having morale boosters for your important mages and primary troop formation", having a counter to Phoenix Pyre thugs is in my view part of an army being late game ready.

To be fair, what is really stopping Gath from winning the game? Mobility hampered by the necessity to have doom stacks supported all times? Can Erytheia do anything actually game winning with Nexus up? They are too far behind for that, right? Even Pan might have a shot with the resources but the alliance is noticeably less skilled than their opponents, imho.

Pan can do something with his Wish casters and his insane gold economy. It will take time, but in, let's say, 10-15 turns he will start OUTSCALING Gath in terms of raw power, cause he'll have gold when everyone else is goldstarved, he has bloodnomics, not small at this point, and after taking the most gem-rich region of TC and owning 1/2 of the Nexus he is also a leader in gemnomics.
I think Gath will start to have hard time in this game if he fails to win the game in the said 10-15 turns.
