Sir/madam..we are planning to move to a become a devops team..but I would like to know how the process works with respect to production support team. How the incident tickets would be handled or oncall activities performed if we become a devops scrum team
Hi Ayan. Integration testing (sometimes called integration and testing, abbreviated I&T) is the phase in software testing in which individual software modules are combined and tested as a group. It occurs after unit testing and before validation testing. Hope this answers your query. Please let us know if you have any other queries. Hi Nikhil, Sanity testing is done to ensure that a product has been given to you in its cleanest form after making certain modifications to it to fix some existing problems. Thus, sanity testing is done after a new build is obtained after minor updates. Thus in case of Sanity Testing - when a product is delivered with bug fixes and new features, a set of regression test cases are selected and executed in order to ensure that no major new bugs have been introduced into the software. This can also be done via automated regression testing tools. Sanity testing is mostly done after a product has already seen a few number of releases or versions. In some cases, a few basic test cases in a specific area are combined into a single sanity test case that will test working of functionality in that specific area of the product. Sanity testing will be deep and narrow and the tester will need to refer to specific requirements. Sanity testing is usually not scripted. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Cheers and Happy Learning 👍
Hi Pavan Kumar, Scrum which is a specialized agile method, or we can say specialized Incremental Development process uses the term Sprint for its iterations, that is one development cycle in Scrum is called a Sprint. Sprint is Scrum specific, hence Sprint is an iteration but not all forms of Iterations are Sprints. You can't answer the question in a sentence because it's all TOTAL HOT AIR. The whole Devops / Agile henhouse was designed to keep middle managers in power at the expense of web developers. Show me a devops expert and I'll show you somebody who hasn't built a decent app in their life.
Hi Kalai, There is no specific educational or career track for becoming a DevOps engineer. Many DevOps engineers are either developers who take an interest in deployment and network operations or system administrators who maneuver into the development side of the process. They are individuals who have pushed beyond their defined roles and competencies to gain an all-inclusive view of their technical environments. So, having some other technical skills can get you there. We suggest, please go through this video to understand the skills needed to become a DevOps engineer: ua-cam.com/video/8_ju_D_GoQQ/v-deo.html
