We were camped to the right of you (down the hill) and heard the gunshots too. I think it was the owner of the home across Hwy 7, as we've camped here before and never heard that before. Maybe a little target practice?
Absolutely great camping views. That lake was so clear not to mention those beautiful bass. Yes that range would’ve been something to deal with for me. Stay safe and stay hydrated but keep on having fun.
Can't carry for protection in Canada sad to say. Clinton was a good kid for sure. The least i could do for the little man. Thanks for checking out the video
As someone who usually legally brings guns when going (crown) camping, dds are it is either someone shooting on their own land which (as you probably aware) they are legally allowed to do or someone shooting on Crown land (same as BLM in the states) which you are also legally allowed to do with certain unrestricted guns. Also I don't think there is a registered gun range in that area that you would be hearing that close. We are also nearing deer season so could be someone doing ammo load testing and sighting in.
Ya I figured it wasn't a range when we only heard it the one day for a few hours. I have only recently acquired my restricted PAL. and thought you couldn't shoot that close to a main road . Not sure if the same rules apply I that area.
@@gittngo The federal laws dont say anything about it. In Ontario Hunting laws state you can't shoot within 8m (If I recall correctly) and in the direction of a road. My range actually is way less on one of the pistol ranges less than a 100m facing the road but has a huge berm. Even if you shot over the berm it would still land somewhere past the road in what is essentially swampland. Good on you getting your restricted, anyone getting their PAL should be doing the RPAL as well

It only happened the one day so you're probably right. Maybe a home owner messing around
@@gittngo would like to know what bait you were using to catch your bass? I was fishing from shore and always came up empty handed!
@kathykirshner9206 we were just using plastic paddle tail swim baits. Green with silver flake
Another great video, I love silent lake
Thanks man. It was our first time there. Fishing was decent even on the hotest day so it would be good to try out in the fall I think.
Looks like it was a fun time!! Great video. 🍻
Thank you for watching !

Still not 100% sure it was a range. Could have been someone target practicing for all we know lol. Thanks for watching
Great video my friend! That view from the picnic table was spectacular. Nice Fish too. Take Care!

Gunshots and 2 AI-generated fish lol! Missed the camp cook. Nice to see Beth got a little break too.
Was way too hot to cook my man. I wasn't doing well on this trip.
And if I could generate AI fish they'd be at least a 6-8 LB er lol.
So nice meeting you and Greg. You're both a hoot!
